A new newspaper article in my City
      #238798 - 03/17/05 06:55 PM

When I came home form work my mother called and told me she saw on our local news about people obtaining illegal drugs on the internet. I copied and pasted the article because it came form my home town, I live in a small town. So to be on the safe side I placed stars on my exact location.
I don't get where people say they are obtaining oxycontin. I have never looked for oxycotin, but I have never heard anyone else saying they have bought oxycotin form a drug Co. either. Just a little FYI, I have always heard they will not come after the patients. What they did say on the news that was not in the newspaper article is they have been watching people they knew were ordering. They also said people who are ordering for resale.

Every prescription drug you can imagine is available over the Internet. But without a prescription from your doctor, these pills should be off limits. But they're not.
"If the people want to get the drugs, they are going to get it." Said Rick *******, Pharmacist.
A **** County woman recently bought more than 8-thousand dollars worth of oxycontin from a drug company on the Internet without proving she had a prescription.
"This makes the drugs more available to those that abuse them." Said **** ********, **** County, ** Sheriff’s Department.
There were about fifty drug over dose deaths in *********** ** last year. This latest method of obtaining illegal drugs is now forcing the **** County Sheriff's Department to take action.
"We are in the process identifying those people who are obtaining drugs by false pretenses. by using the internet and they'll be a day we'll come knocking on your door." Said ????? ????????, **** ******, ** Sheriff’s Department.
Drug sales over the Internet is not illegal, but Investigators say it's a privilege that's now being abused.
Investigators will be meeting with the U-S Attorney’s office to develop a plan to stop drug companies who are selling prescription drugs illegally and punish them.

Ya man, being an internet consumer myself, I know that a schedule II narcotic analgesic is not legal to sell over the internet. When I tore my acl I was prescribed percocet and they told me that I must go to the pharmacy myself or have a family member with the same last name pick it up for me. They won't even accept those to be filled over the phone, you need to physically be there even if you do have a presciption.
Wondering about what sites these huligans would obtain these heavy duty meds, I consulted a good buddy on the matter. He told me that it is not internet sites that these criminals use to obtain the oxy. If the DEA ever came across a NROP or ROP for that matter, offering such things it would be shut down immediately, fraudulant or not. He told me that it is in fact email sources that these go getter go through to obtain such things. Although there are many crooks who will offer to send you meds after ripping you off, supposodly there are some legit email sources. This problem is becoming very apparent and could be the begining of the end of internet drug sales altogether. So in order to save our own asses, we must be aggresive when someone makes such an offer. It is very easy to report these people and it must be done. We, patients must unite against these evil people. Otherwise there will be many legit patients out there left unmedicated, and that would be downright unfair. Especially at the present time, with all these steroid allegations against profesional athletes, investigators will definitely be looking to the internet for illicit sources. Happy Saint Patricks Day to all, Good Bless.

First of all, it is virtually impossible to buy oxycontin online from a US based internet pharmacy. There are groups out there spreading this disinformation for their agendas. I can't figure out why this is happening and who or what institutions are behind this movement. For instance, Bo Dietl (former NYC detective and talk show guest), is constantly harping about internet drug sales on every program he is a guest on. He will even bring the subject up when it is not the topic of the show. I am convinced he is being paid by someone or some group to promote the anti internet pharmacy viewpoint. It would be very interesting to find out who is paying him and why. We must counter these outright lies wherever we find them or internet pharmacies will be banned forever, to the detriment of the public. I suspect it might be the large pharmacy chains that are behind this movement. If you lie and say children can obtain oxycontin easily from internet pharmacies, the general public will be alarmed and demand that their representatives in Congress pass laws outlawing internet pharmacy sales. And that is exactly what is happening now!! Write to your congressman and counter this disinformation campaign. Write to your local editorial pages and explain how internet pharmacies help lower drug prices, cut doctor bills, and are a godsend to people who do not have health insurance. Tell the public about the lies that are being spread!!

Why does'nt someone challenge him to prove his claims ? Of course these people dont play fair anyway and Iam sure they would fix it ahead of time so that a purchase online of oxy's would look easy. I would not even bother trying to buy those online cause I know you will either get ripped off ,or just be wasting your time. The news media is so hard up for any story ,because they have been cut off from accessing any truth in reporting ,that its all just entertainment now. I dont even listen to any main stream news anymore .Then news they pick as top stories of the day are laughable and a disgrace and insult to everyone intelligence !

Perhaps we should all start fighting lies WITH lies. Make these sensationalistic idiots PAY. Be creative with this. For instance:

When someone writes an article based UTTERLY on lies, just to sell papers or promote a specific television show, find out the name of the reporter, discover when he or she WON'T be in the office, then call his or her place of employment and say:

"This is Special Agent John Smith with the FBI. May I speak with the supervisor of (insert name of idiot reporter here)?" When that person gets on the phone, ask when they'll be back in the office. When the supervisor asks what this is all about, say:

"I'm sorry, we're not allowed to discuss details from cases involving CHILD MOLESTATION."

Or ...

Find out the home address of idiot reporter and run a want ad in the local paper stating:

"YARD SALE. Many guns and antiques. Shift worker, so must show up at 5:00 am. 666 Maple Drive, Anytown, USA."

Have fun. GET REVENGE!

What I find a little silly is these articles about oxy usually spell it OXYCOTTON. That makes me laugh.

FYI Quaker, if you're trying to keep your location quiet, you should avoid copy-and-pasting Internet articles. I learned your location in about eight seconds. I'm not trying to scare you, strictly FYI.
