I'm reposting this in order to get some immediate attention. Thanks for understanding.
Been a while, I know.
I have found myself in a jam. You see, I experience extreme anxiety from road trips. I kid you not. So, this weekend I went to see my daughter in college. It's a 5 hour drive each way and I took a total of 0.3mg of valium over the weekend to quell my anxiety. No RX either. Doc just gave me a few in a bottle at his office about a year ago for my long distance trips. I still have two left!
The problem? I've been looking for employment and just got a call from one of the agencies for a job that requires drug testing. It's a 7-panel test. I was honest with the agency and told them I took valium for my road trip. She said that she didn't think it would matter, but she wanted to know if I still had the bottle. Well, I don't. I just put my pills in a little carry case so that I can drop it into my purse. Even if I did still have the bottle, it had nothing on it as far as it being prescribed to me.
HELP!

Get the Doc who gave it to you to write a note verifying it was from him. He undoubtedly noted it in his file.

Lemongrass: I think on the 7 panel they may test for valium, why dont you look up info to find out how long it stays in your system, I believe it is only for 2 days, but not 100% sure. Then just maybe hold them off for 2 days, tell them you have a previous dentist appointment already scheduled for one of them days, and see what they say about coming in for the test towards the end of the week. That will buy you some time to let it get out of your system. Good Luck.

It's only 0.3mg. Just go in for the test and you'll be fine. Fill up a gallon milk jug with water and make sure you've drank the entire thing the day before you go in.
You shouldn't have told them though. They undoubtedly marked that down in their little file.

Valium can stay in your system for up to two weeks, but usually this applies for heavy users,if you are not i would at least wait 3 days as that is the fastest i think it will leave 2 to 3 days and up to two weeks i know.I have had friends in the past go to jail while on probation for failing on this drug after using more than a week prior to test, one person only took one half of one and failed a week later.I would recommend drinking a lot of water maybe a half gallon about an hour and a half before taking test and make sure that you urinate until it is clear, this can be a problem too if it is too clear they will have a suspicion of you drinking a lot of water, you can take vit.B complex pills along with the water drinking and it will give your urine a yellow hue that i have passed many tests myself with, also try to do it early in the day and DO NOT EAT before the test while drinking the water, just make sure that u are peeing clear,No MORNING PEE this should happen after urinating about three times.I have used this and passed around 30 something tests including extensive gas chromothereapy tests in which they test for about every drug known to man, even substances like LSD are covered with that bad boy,for urine test in is the top test in the drug test world...peace and good luck with your pee

Right on,if we started refusing these tests as a nation we would not be pestered by them anymore.Besides they violate your right to unreasonable search and seizure you have to agree to these violations right now,but in the future it will probaly be a random thing for everybody unless we stop it NOW.

I HIGHLY recommend that everybody do research into all the substances that can cause false-positives on drug screens. Then LOAD UP on those substances before your drug test. Then fail the test, get denied the job, and SUE THE HELL OUT OF THE SCUM!

Yeah, what the hell though, some people need pain-killers and anti-anxiety medicines to even function normal, to work and to go to school. I am not really sure about this though, but are the tests specific enough so that if you were to be tested positive for opiates that it would say what the opiate is? Because if it didn't, then even if you showed evidence of a doctor prescribed narcotic medicine they might still think you could be using something else.

There is one caution on the water drinking. Even a healthy person can overload their system with water! You are designed to deal with moderate amount of fluid in your system. An extreme can cause medical problems far beyond your wildest imagination.
This is similar to any living organism. Overloading your organs with a 1/2 gallon of water in a small amount of time can have dire conquences. Please be careful.
Of course, additional health problems can make this even more serious. For your own sake, moderation is always best. Take the time, if at all possible, to allow the substance to naturally leave your system for 72 hours. At this point the level of medication should be low enough to not even register.
lemongrass ... you are so valuable and I for one love your contribution here. Be careful and the best of luck!
Take care,

Code:
I believe it is only for 2 days
Depends... I've tested postive (for benzos) 30 days out on a 10-panel Emit. It's different for everyone based on dosage, metabolism, regiment, etc..

Question - Has anyone here ever been told and proven that they have tested positive for specifically Hydrocodone? If so, were you told that you tested positive for Opoids? Or for Hydro in particular?

0.3 mg of Valium is an extremely, very, very low dose. I mean the lowest tab they make is something like 2 mg. So then you are saying you took 1/3 of a 1 mg tab. That is like saying you are on a diet, ate a chocolate chip, and then gained 20 pound. Not gonna happen! If you truly took that low a dose I would not worry about it.

Well, in case anyone is curious or dying to know, I'm posting my experience for the benefit of others. I took a pre-employment drug test for Marriot last monday. This is significant because I have been taking Hydro for 3 years, and decided to chance it by not skipping a dose or stopping my dose two days before the test. I took my normal dose the day before, the night before, the morning of the test, and the night after the test. It was only a part-time job anyway, so I figured no big loss if I didn't pass the test. I was sure that I would fail the test because I bought a $30 drug store home test, and for sure, it showed a positive result for Opiates or Opoids, whichever it is. So I thought the best route would be to simply show them my prescription bottle, and the other label and papers that I have as proof of the prescription - which I get from a ROP. Today they called, and offered me the job. They didn't say a word about the test, just said that they're extremely interested in offering me the job. I was like, "do you want to give me the job then? Or are you just interested in giving me the job?" Its only semantics. Anyway, so I guess I'm in the clear with this. Believe me, I do understand that this does not necessarily mean that I passed the test, or failed it for that matter. Actually, I most likely failed the test, but maybe workplaces make exceptions for certain drugs that are found. Hydro for instance, is widely used for legitimate reasons, and maybe they jsut thought it was acceptable that I'm taking it. I really don't know, and I don't think I'm going to make a fuss about it. I'll take whatever I can get.
I just wanted to add this to the experiences that have been posted about drug testing for employment, so that people can have info when they need it. I asked for anyone's experiences with an actual drug test, and no one responded, which is fine, if no one has ever had to take one while on Hydro. I just thought that with all of the commentary and advice being given about the tests, that someone would have actually had to take one at some point. Anyway, here's one experience, and a good one!

I had the exact same experience. I had been taking hydro right up to the test, pieed in their liitle bottle and expected the employer to call me about a positive result.
Lo and behold they called me alright, to offer me a job (part time)
I dunno what happened, but I was pleased nonetheless.
