As long as I have been online, the DEA has wanted to reschedule hydro. My guess is because of it's availability on the internet. It is one of the top drugs prescribed by Dr's in this country. If they do ever get around to this, then there will be someother pain medication that is prescribed in it's place, and possibly a new one, so in the end, what's the use.

IMO hydro will never be re-scheduled. Yeah LE considers op's a threatening but with all the power(money, politicians, etc.) the pharma companies have I don't think its going to happen. We all know there are people that abuse nrops but there only hurting themselves really.(Big picture, hurting legitamate pain suffers who need ops, you, me, etc. and others, but I'm being very general with this post) If kids were dropping like flies overdosing on hydro it'd be a different story. If the situation was as out of hand as say crack in the 80's than there would be some action. IMO nrops don't sell oxy because its illegal its because that would be pushing the envelope over the edge abd it would be over for them. There are to many people in the US that need hydro legitamately for it to be re-scheduled. It would do more harm than good. LE knows re-scheduling it isn't going to happen so they are pursuing other avenues. This is of course just MO.

I agree ikestorm, the People Who Really Run Things are a money-hungry bunch of bastards, and want to keep those dollars rolling in from online sales.
Telemedicine is very popular now and will only be getting more popular as an MD's time becomes more valuable. Making a common and reliable painkiller SchII will severely limit both the MD's & the Big Pharma drug companies' income, and they are the ones with the highly-paid lobbyists, not the DEA.
