Order a consult from EPHY.
Faxed copies of last physical and copies of x-ray perscription and other papers I thought would help, like last time I went to er for same problem on 2/03/05. Recieved call from CS on 2/3/05 and was told doctor would call me 2/4/05 between 11:30-1. At 1:00 excatly my phone rang and it was tbe Docters office. Put me through to talk to Doctor. He was very nice and had read my records he had and asked me what the doctor had prescribed me when my injury happend. I told him Lortab, and he asked if they helped me I said yes and and he said he would prescribe me 90 with 2 refills. He also said he would call back and check to see if the prescription is working and if there is any thing else I need.
Total cost with delivery, cod charge, presciption ( w/2 refills)doctors consult and the faxing of my records came to only $165.70. This is cheaper then going to an er because when you don't have insurance things get real pricey.
If unsure what to do, definelty go this route.Partly because you really are establishing a doctor/ patient relationship and you actually speak to a doctor. I think this by far is the most legit and inexpensive way to go.
I do not have my meds yet but I am not worried in the least little bit. Already tracked my package and it will be delivered Mon. already in my states hub.
Can someone assist?.............How extensive do records have to be? I have a one page signed document from orthopedist indicating degenerative disc disorder with Rx's for phys therapy and meds. Is this enough?
Also, could someone give me an indication as to what is discussed during the telephone consult?
I sent them copies of x-ray perscription my doctor gave me, last physical and that is it. What you have should be fine. The CS reps call and ask a few more questions or will let you know it you need anything else.
Phone call is really simple, It takes about a total of 3-5 minutes (just like at a normal dr. office). He will have your records in front of him because the first thing he did was mention my injury.(fractured tailbone giving birth). He asked me what I wanted and I asked him what he suggested. He said it depends on severity of pain and then He asked me what my doctor prescribed when the I was discharged and I told him Lortab. And he said fine that's what I will give you with 2 refills. Also said he would call and make sure they were working. ( I doubt he will call but that's okay).
Received meds today all accounted for and pharmacy number and dr. name are on the bottle. From start to finish it took a total of 3 days.
I will use EPHY until the end. They are so much cheaper and I actually talked to a doctor who seemed really concerned about my injury.
very poor customer service. just because you ask for a certain type of delivery , doesnt mean that you will get that. several times now , they send your package way they want to .and the doc is very hard to understand. so bad that i ended up getting the wrong script. this just isnt worth my time or money.Especially since customer service wont do a thing to correct the situation.
