Barton - perhaps you found an exception, and your OP really was down and did deliver to you after they called you. I would still NOT order from someone calling me to sell drugs. Even if they knew the date I ordered, the meds and the pharmacy/OP name (which many don't), I wouldn't order from an incoming call.
The customer list from an OP you used to deal with (with the order file that has the date of your order and med) could easily be sold to a third party (e.g. telemarketers in a boiler room) by an NROP / pharmacy that was just shut down (which I know for a fact one group used in the past).
Bottom line: You never know who is on the line when you receive an incoming call. Example: A sister of my friend had a call last summer where a telemarketer was claiming her refill was due for vicodin. The caller said it was placed on a date the girl actually ordered from a NROP. When pressed, the caller didn't have a valid web site or even know what strength vicodin was ordered. She went back to the old web site she used on that date and it was gone - she checked and DB posters said it went under. Who knows who was on the line calling her with partial info. about her past orders.
Sure they could be "legit" NROPs/pharmacies that got SHUT DOWN and just trying to get orders filled via the phone and dump their excess inventory (the prices always seem very high though for people interested in dumping and getting out of town!), but it is just too risky ordering from these shady people who call at all hours of the night and weekend. There are plenty of reasonably priced record and NROP's out there that work where you have a better idea who you're dealing with than a voice at the end of a phone call someone made to your house. Just my 2 cents....
I've heard of alot more fraud and failure to deliver by these telemarketers than successes. I've heard that some of the telemarketing groups that don't press for a credit card are pressing for COD's to make people feel safe. They send a package that rattles with a bottle in it, you hand your money order for several hundred $$ over to UPS, go inside and open up the package and find a bottle full of generic multi-vitamins!! Be-Ware.

Speaking of highway robbery, "Express Pharmacy Services - 888-566-0166" that is making alot of calls to alot of DBers lately is charging $749 for #160 generic norco 10s... Or more likely $749 for #160 generic multi-vitamins...

So the prices at these "legit" drug telemarketers are as much or more than one can find at an online NROP. What is the point in using one of these places? I don't see it. On top of that, how do you even know its "legit". I know most of our info is out there, so someone calling me with info for something that I had purchased online does not necessarily mean that I won't get ripped off. No thanks. I'll do it the old fashioned way and do my own online research.

A friend of mine is asking HOW to get these incoming calls to stop? She's on the State and National Do Not Call List, and these dealers are calling well past 9 p.m. (illegal to do so), and they won't stop calling.
She placed ONE order to Allusa and ONE order to buymeds. Hasn't used an OP since (had an acute problem), so it's one of those two places who sold her info.
She's ready to state, "The person you are calling for is deceased." I told her I would never lie about being deceased except to these drug lords. I wonder if that would get her name off the list??? Thoughts?
Someone somewhere is purchasing from them or they would quit calling...

I have read that threatening to report them to the DEA has worked for some people, others have told them that they want to record the conversation. Read the posts to see what others are doing. I wish I had an easy answer, but I don't, because these people are bigtime PESTS and usually don't take NO for an answer. If no one would order from them then they would eventually vanish, but it appears that some people are. Too bad for the rest of us that only want some peace in our lives.

I got tired of one place calling repeatedly and, after asking both nicely and not so nicely for them to stop, the next time I saw their area code come up I simply answered the phone "Cable News Network Special Reports - Editor's Office". They never called back.

Good one texasBear,
I did something similar in that when I answered the phone I pretended to be My Son (I don't have one) the guy got very nervous, especially when I acted scared that "My Dad" was sick. all of a sudden silence. Call free for a month now.
I also report them to the national do not call list, of which I am a proud member. However it just makes them change their number.

Some phone companies offer call blocking. Check if your carrier offers this service and give them the number you want blocked. This service shouldn't cost more than a few dollars a month. However you shouldn't HAVE to pay for privacy, but you can.
