I am so frustrated with Norcoworldwide and will not place another consult with them again. I used them in the past with no problem, but when I scheduled a consult this time, it has been nothing but trouble. I scheduled a consult in August. someone called me for less than a minute, not a doctor or doctors assistant like last time. She told me I could have Norco with two refills. Well, the refills never got posted on the website so I e-mailed them and asked why. They told me they needed my medical records and id. I told them I already sent them. They said they didn't have them (after I had been using NWW for a year). So I faxed them again. Stil no refills. I just faxed them over for the third time since August and I'm starting to feel scammed. Each time, I e-mail NWW, I get a very curt reply that doesn't really make sense grammatically. Anyone have ideas for help? I know they are busy and I respect their need for medical records, but why bother to ask for them if they never seem to get them with a customer's file.
Help!

Why go with another op? ALL record ops will ask you for updated records from time to time. If the records they have on file for you are older than a year, they will want up dated info to keep with the older files already on record.
From what I have read at the forum, in the summer they caught people who were trying to have multiple accounts with them or somehow people had got away with not sending records or a clear and easy to read ID. Since then, they have required almost everyone to re-send records, send in missing records and ID or send updated records.

Thanks everyone for the support. I did private message David and I am optimistic that he will be able to help. I have been e-mailing NWW all day yesterday because I faxed my medical records and id for the third time. I actually got a response "We received your fax" which makes me optimistic, but no refills yet or no reponses to subsequent e-mails.
Wish me luck. I will keep you updated if David can help me.

You may not have heard anything from customer service because today is Saturday. I think they work monday through Friday, but sometimes they will check in on the forum after regular business hours. Does your member page show the refill is available to order now? Let us know how this turns out ok? Good luck!

Does anybody know anything about "Short Term Memory Lose?"
I could swear ( but I won't ) that this thread had a lot more post in it. I must have just been effected because, to me, it seems like just a day or two ago there was more here then currently meets the eye. I guess I was warned about getting hairy palms and even going blind if I keept doing what I do, every other day

The last time I consulted, the doctor said I would need to fax my ID and records before my first refill (even though they should have already had them). When I called to see how much the order was going to cost, I was told that it wouldn't be sent at all until my records and ID were sent.
It seems likes they did this to someone else above.
Why are they asking for records they should already have?

Because they wanted records that are under one year old or they couldn't read yours, or they weren't sufficient documentation. Either way, get some current records together and fax them over if they do ask you for some.

I sent records to them less than one year ago when I was diagnosed with a new condition (5/14/2004). They must have 40 pages of records from me with ER reports, Dr's notes, diagnoses from surgery, pathology reports, even laparoscopic images! I doubt the problem was that they were not sufficient.
Today I called to make sure that my prescription would go out today and arrive tomorrow, and was told that it wouldn't because the doctor hadn't signed off on one of my pages of the 15-page fax I sent them. I looked at it, and it said "Electronically signed off by Dr. P- M-!" Apparently, they weren't going to send my meds at all, and hadn't bothered to call or email me. I told her to look at page 7, which WAS phyically signed by a doctor, and she curtly said, "ok, your order will be sent."
Nevermind that I was told by the doctor that I didn't even HAVE to re-send my records until I ordered my first refill (I faxed them the same day as my consult anyway). They need to get things straight over there.
If I hadn't called, was the $100 consultation fee, cost of meds, and $45 SAT Delivery charge all going to be pocketed??!?
Those meds had better arrive by tomorrow, or they're losing a long-time customer.

astro, If you dont get your meds isnt it, that you get all your money make but a small service fee. like $20-$25.00? I thought all op's were like that? if your consult winds up with no meds you get your money back. if you used a cc you can always do a charge back,
BUT first, I would try an pm/call/email/ CS and see if something that can be done. I am sure if your a long time customer they would try and go the extra mile to help. I had a prob one time with a doc at NWW I contacted CS and was given a different Doc since the 1st one and I got off onthe wrong foot. the second doc and I got along much better and the consult was perfect. Humans are Humans. sometimes things go awry but it can always be worked out it seems exspecially at NWW!!!!! I hope you can think they are as great as I DO!!! good luck-----Ember
