I have a prescription from my doctor on the east coast, but I just moved to California and the Rx cannot be filled here. Do you know anyone online who will fill and ship Ritalin?

i just copied and pasted my response to you from the ritalin link. here it is again...
orpheus,
i don't think that your rx can be filled out of state. i live in california and i was prescribed ritalin before i was prescribed dexedrine. what did your doctor on the east coast prescribe the ritalin for? can you not transfer your old records here to a new doctor? i am sure that with the proper records your new doctor will be more than happy to give you a new rx for ritalin.

I take it for ADD. I wanted to avoid the cost and hassle of finding a doctor until my new insurance kicks in.

Take a look at the ritalin thread in "Who Offers It, How Much?" forum RIGHT HERE
More than one domestic shipper of this med is discussed.

Sorry I didn't read your original post very carefully. Bargsbeer and Angelwolf13 are correct, you cannot get a sched II narcotic script filled by an online pharmacy.
And not a single one of the domestic records-required OP's will have a doctor do a consult for ADD or narcolepsy, let lone script or fill for sched II. The NROP's won't touch it either.
That doesn't mean you can't buy it online, only that you can't use your script.

orpheus,
it's too bad you didn't get your prescription filled before you moved to california. do you still have family on the east coast? i was wondering if you could send your rx back to them and maybe they could get it filled for you. (not sure if that's allowed or not) did you know your pharmacist very well?
the reason i ask is that i have used the same pharmacy for my ritalin (now dexedrine) for years and once in a while i have the bf drop off/ pick up my rx and they have no problem with that at all. i was wondering if you could call them up and let them know your predicament. do you think they will let you (snail) mail the hard copy to a relative, fill the rx, then your relative can mail your meds to you? i am not certain as to whether or not this falls within the limits of the law. if any member knows for sure, please advise. any information will certainly be appreciated. thanks.
good luck to you, orpheus, i hope your insurance kicks in soon. some iops offer ritalin, but it's usually expensive and i don't know how good the quality would be. maybe some other members have information on that as well.

No one can fill it because its a sch 2....however if its a good script, Id see a Dr there and bring it with the contact info and you should be good to go.
Good Luck

it is a sch II, it can't be filled outside of the state it was prescribed in, i think that's clear. was there something else you wanted to elaborate on?

because i offered the SAME advice that you just did. didn't you read the whole thread?
i'm sorry even with dexedrine sometimes it takes hours to complete a single post for me, adhd sucks! i would hope that, after all that, people would have the courtesy to read what i have written. and YES, i haven't taken my dexedrine yet! puts me to sleep.
