"City View Pharmacy" A Review......
      #214894 - 01/13/05 06:23 AM

I didn't see any info about this pharmacy much around here so I thought I would give them a review for anyone out there who wants to know more about them.

As far as I know MedlogicRX and 1stEmeds are the only two OP's so far using this pharmacy. Trust me, use MedlogicRX instead of 1stEmeds if you want good service. You can go to Medlogic's info page here on DB.com to learn more about their wonderful feedback here: https://drugbuyers.com/freeboard/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=205146

Since I live in Colorado and the pharmacy this OP uses is outside of Denver which isn't very far from where I live, I went to pick up my meds so I could save $27 in shipping charges and $10 in COD charges and $2 in money order charges. That's a total of $39 in savings for me, how great is that!?

I feel the med prices are a little high. I paid $107 for 90 Hydro 10/325. The Consult price is low however. Only $45 at MedlogicRX with the VIP discount.

The pharmacy was a very clean and a professional place. It isn't a chain pharmacy, rather a privately owned place and it looked to be run by a family. The pharmacy name is "City View Pharmacy"

They were very professional and had my meds all ready to go for when I got there. One thing that puzzled me was instead of my meds being in the normal orange bottle, it was in a green bottle. I like the green bottle more, just because its my favorite color. But I don't understand what the difference is...anyone that can help me out with this?

I can say that I fully trust this pharmacy and I believe you will be just as happy with the service they provide as I am if you do decide to use an OP that uses City View Pharmacy.

What is interesting is that some meds are still in glass...that's another story, and a funny one. But to stay on topic, I am glad that you are able to go do this, it must be a nice feeling of not having to wait, and further complications. I wish you well in your pursuit of relief and hope you have easier days ahead.
Thank you for sharing feedback with the board. I am so happy we are all doing this again!

I too have received meds in a blue plastic botle...for my dog! I thought that maybe it was a way for the consumer to quickly tell it isn't people medicine...don't know really. I think the amber color of the bottle originally was to reduce the deterioration of the contents from sunlight. Thanks for the info on City View!

Don't know 'bout the refill schedule...but I thought it was interesting that you could go and pick up your meds. As Prettyday mentioned, what a nice feeling that must have been for you. Also, to see that it was run by a family...and not out of some broom closet, with the meds stored in old coffee cans...lol...that must have be reassuring, you know??

'Bout the colored bottles...I have never seen anything but amber until today...my inlaws use Target's pharmacy and they use red bottles, that are not really shaped the "normal" way. The red is probably because Target's signature color is red, but the shape is definitely interesting. It is designed to be stored "upside-down", from the normal orientation, and the label is really large, so it is easy to read, and there is a little "collar" on each bottle, that is a different color for every memeber in your family. In other words, all of my mother in laws meds have a blue collar, and all of my father in law's meds have a green collar. According to the pharmacist, this is a new system that was patented by a woman whose grandparents (I think...may have been her parents) got their meds mixed up, and almost died...so she came up with this extremely simple system that the pharmacy can use to help families tell whose meds are whose. Such a simple system, and I hope this woman is making a bunch of $$$ on the patent, you know??

Anyway...thanks for the update on this pharmacy, M4...it is nice to hear good stories about good operations.

Peace,
Katy

My father is a Veterinarian and I can tell you that there really isn't any rhyme or reason to ordering script bottles and containers. It's pretty much like ordering office supplies - as far as the ease and choices and what not. A medical supply company sends out their catalog and then there are different choices with different shapes and caps. It's all whatever the pharmacy wishes to order.

huh, that is cool to be able to go pick em up, way easier in a lot of ways. so i'm wondering, if you consult, then can you possibly pick up your script that same day, since they would be having it ready to ship that same day, why couldn't you pick it up same day. that would be so awesome, i know 1stemeds used to do same day consults, imagine being able to consult and get meds in the same day, that would be so good, like going to a real doc lol, and if you were having an emergency shortage you couldn't beat that, only thing is 1stemeds doesn't use them anymore i don't think, does the other place still use them? and even though i don't live anywhere near them so it sure wouldn't be possible for me, i'd like to know if you were in fact able to pick them up same day, i'm sure this info could be useful to someone else, thanks

yeah, i don't use 1stemeds anymore either but i heard their med prices went up a lot too and i don't think they even use that pharm anymore, their consult prices went up too, so that was enough reason for me, they certainly weren't the best rop out there, but for the price they were. now with the higher prices it's just not worth it, they weren't that much cheaper with the cheap consult with their med prices in the first place, but if they are still as they used to be, they were good for a quick consult in a pinch. i never heard of this medlogic place, are they newer? i haven't been using rops just because i no longer have a pcp and my records are older, plus it's hard for me to consult because i'm almost never home in the morning or until very late and no way can i consult at work, but now i'm working less since school is out so maybe i can get some new records and make the switch, i'll need to with the lesser work hours so less income sorry ot
