Question NROP - FedEx vs. UPS
      #214819 - 01/12/05 10:45 PM

Which NROPs use FedEx? The UPS truck doesn't get here until late afternoon, which doesn't work with my schedule. FedEx, on the other hand, comes late morning. Most NROPs seem to use UPS. Any way to request FedEx or are there even any NROPs that use them?

I have news for you; I have seen a difference in Fedex lately; lot less staff, or something. I think it's all a dice shoot.

Prettyday - both fedex and ups are scammers, don't trust them or use them for deliveries.

They are just trying to make money by supplying delivery services to our front doors.

Personally I prefer UPS only because my driver is a buddy of mine. That said, delivery times most often depend on shipping options. For example, Fedex priority overnight must be at its destination by 10:30 am. Standared overnight should be at its destinations by either 4:30 or 6:00 pm (not sure which). If you're not sure about your package you can call the 800 # or look it up on the website and it will say what time your package will be there by. If your delivery is not to you by the appointed time then a complaint may be in order. I had a priority overnight package not arrive untill almost noon. The driver was very apoplogetic and gave excuses (truck broke down) and acutally delivered my package with her personal vehicle. Unless there is a valid reason, there is no excuse for a delay. You pay for a package to be on time and that's that. I acutally had a Fedex driver tell me "sorry, I was really busy". My reply? "That's not my problem". We go through enough shite with onlone providers without having to deal with lazy delivery people.
Sorry for the rant......

well we pretty much have no other choice but to use fedex or UPS if you want you meds, unless you are using Ken drugs who ships via DHL. You could always have it shipped to the UPS hub and go and pick it up that morning if you didnt want to wait on delivery.I also prefer fedex because he has never gotten to my house past 1030 am OVERNIGHT and thats for a STANDARD 2DAY pkg...they always come a day early...ups would NEVER do that.

My UPS guy for air saver or 2 day does not come till 7pm every day without skipping a beat, it is way to late as I work nights. Fedex gets here even with 2 day air before 3 like clockwork.

My suggestion would be, if you are close to a hub, to just have the package delivered to the hub and held for pickup. Thats what I always do, and you can choose the cheapest overnight delivery and still pick it up first thing in the morning when they open. I've had a few instances where i've had to wait 10-15 mins for them to unload the trucks when I got there because they were a little behind, but I'd say 90% of the time, I have my package and am out the door by 8:35am. Hope that helps:)

I have never had a problem with either - however UPS is my choice because I get home mid-afternoon from work and they deliver in my area around 4 - 5 PM - my guy is really nice. Fedex usually comes in late AM so unless I know I am going to be home try and avoid places that use them. However as you all probably know by now I usually order ONLY from OP4L which uses UPS so I am a happy camper........

Fed Ex used to be my pick, until they changed drivers.

Now, when I pay for the priority overnight by 10:30am, he is ALWAYS late.
So I of course call, and I get the most stupid excuses out there from the FedEx Customer Service.

The best ones are that there are Ice Storms!!

I have to laugh, and tell them that I live in California... and the sun is shinein' and it's about 70 degrees, so don't try and pull the 'ol IceStorm crapolla on me.

Then they try and say that the IceStorms are what has caused the delay.
But the problem with that is that the package is on the truck for delivery just as it always is, it's the new driver they put on the truck......... He's lied, and said I wasn't home... when I was... I've checked the tracking and the message on the left says "customer not available" when I was home the whole time... and the CS rep even asked me to look on my door for one of those tags, I tell them nope, not there.......

I've heard so many excuses from FedEx... And since they have some sort of IceStorm somewhere in the US, that gives them cause to not refund my priority overnight fees. Even though the package is in my city.

Now, UPS has never used any excuse.... always comes early..... and has changed drivers a few times....

So I guess it all depends on the area you live in....

It doesn't really matter if it's FedEx or UPS.... all depends on how they are operated in your area, and if you have a good driver bringing your packages!

Personally, I wish I lived in Florida, where I can just go and pick up my own package, and not have to pay the outragous shipping fees.

Just my 13 cents
