nope..because you didnt do anything wrong...im pretty sure that the big whigs are just looking for whomever is stealing the pkgs, and reviewing video tape surveillence, etc. Im sure if all those meds were missing then you can bet other expensive items were too..anything clearly labeled electronics, and stuff of that nature, when people get greedy, they just dont know when to stop, which is how they always get caught! I hope they find the guy and the nightmare ends for you!! good luck.

Funny how we worry about our single little package "rattling" with pills.

Imagine the scene at one of these NROPs who get a daily pickup of 2,000 packages all rattling away!

I agree that some people can be paranoid of their drivers because of them mentioning meds, but my case is different. I really could care less what this or any other driver says. I do care when they drive off with my package with no attempt to deliver. We take risks losing money from IOP's due to seizures. I really hate to think I have to lose money because of a dishonest driver.

As for a silly thread I do not agree. I was just trying to share a bad experience with my fellow board members. Sorry if you feel that way.

Thats quite an image to visualize. Just hope the local driver who picks these up isnt a recreational user. Talk about a kid in a candy store. UPS and FEDEX know whats up. Im sure of it.

Quote:

Trey sorry to disagree with you, but yes their are CONTRACTS! My company just signed a CONTRACT with Fed Ex for 5 years. I know, because I have the contract in my delivery file at work. It stipulates that they and they alone must deliver and pick up, when I need them to!
Personally, I've never had any trouble with Fed Ex or UPS.
Either at work or to my residence.
I've only had one rude experience with a UPS driver, but that's it. I guess they know if they made some stupid remark about meds being in my package; I'd just kick their @#$ and then send them home crying to their mamma!!!

I'm really a nice guy and would probably give you the shirt off of my back, but there's a point, a boundry, and when you cross it, it's ON!!!!!!!!

A word: DON'T LET THESE $22.OO AN HOUR FOOLS WALK ALL OVER YOU! I DON'T, REGARDLESS OF WHAT I'VE ORDERED!!!! THEY GET PAID; THEREFORE IT'S A CONTRACT END OF STORY.

I didn't mean to offend anyone, definately not my intentention!!

So your saying that FedEx DOES have a contract to do their job...Thanks for the clarifcation on this... I always thought they had legal contracts with the businesses they were shiping from to make the delivery. It seems we have an issue that not everyone agrees on. Can anyone else shed some light on the idea that FedEx has a LEGAL obligation to make deliveries of legal products? (as in three attempts or whatever).

Based on this... It would seem the power is with us, and FedEx can NOT just simply be rude to us (nor steal our meds!) to make us treat them nicely in order to get them to do their JOBS and deliver our meds!! We should never let anyone imply that the drivers will simply not deliver to us if we draw attention (DOMESTIC OPS ARE LEGAL IN MOST STATES!!).. It seems like we have every right to complain about any such threats, and FedEx seems to have a legal obligation based on this post I quoted above.

I strongly disagree that complaing to FedEx should be advoided 'cause it will draw attention to us in legal OP states...FedEx already knows whats going on- it's too big a part of their business already.. It's not a secret to them. If we keep quiet and never complain there is no telling how out of controll they might get with med deliveries. By NOT complaing about the "clowns" that are rude, or try to steal our meds is making us act like criminals, when where not. (no ofense to anyone- just my point of view)

I also disagree with someone advoiding cracking jobs while picking up a package at the hub. I see no reason not to make small talk and show a bit of humor... It would seem to me acting a little human would be most normal.

Thanks.

I've wondered why these Domestic OPs don't use the U.S. Post Office. I assume it is because if the Feds decide that this is illegal, they will get into more trouble by using the USPS than they will by using Fedex or UPS? There may also be more attention paid to the packages if they used the USPS I suppose.

I was reading up on the various websites and it is much more difficult for a USPS worker to open a package for inspection, as long as it is domestic. There are strict polocies and procedures that they must follow including probable cause in order to inspect a package whereas UPS and FedEx maintain that they have the right to open any package, any time and no reason needs to be given.

Some DO use US mail!

Dietprescriptions.com used to anyway. (but, some say it's actually an IOP)

I dont wanna start sht up, but that bigceas comment about the guy hiding in a garbage can was one of , if not the funniest thing I've seen on this board.
I could almost picture someone , like that guy in sesame street with a banana peel on his head . Peeping out staring at the driver.
