I have been using NROP for almost a year. I have used Prescription4sale, Newlevitra, Extrememed, Raymeds, RXresolution, Prestomeds, etc. For the most part I have been very happy with the service they provide. I have never lost money or been shorted medications. Only one time I ordered 60 Hydrolic units, and only received 49. I promptly sent them a polite email and low and behold they sent me 30 pills, no questions asked.
The one thing I have noticed, that is the only common denominator between all these Pharmacies, is that they all use the same Doctor (the Doctors name on the prescription bottle). I would assume that this Doctor is either the owner or in a partnership with a pharmacist that owns and operates all these NROP's. I would also assume that these people must be a very wealthy by now, and that they could probably very easily retire. In my opinion they have been a godsend, and I hope they continue to provide the services that I have grown to rely on. My only concern is that when they stop working, that will be the end of the NROP's that we have all become to rely on.
Just an observation that I thought some of you NROP users would find interesting.

I don't think you should post Dr.'s names...maybe I'm wrong..just a suggestion, maybe someone else can shed some light on this.

I agree, lets keep their identity confidential. I am sure they would appreciate that. Lets hope they continue providing the services we have all learned to appreciate.

Lets face it, these NROP's are all illegal, and fly by night operations. I am amazed they are able to function and operate as efficiently as they do. Considering the nature of their buisness, they have provided a limited amount of customer service to me in the past. I personally prefer the NROP's that ship via UPS. At least you have a way of tracking your order if and when it leaves BIR (billing imformation received.

Calling them Illegal on this board is right up there with disclosing the doctor's name, in my opinion!

Okay guys...do you want these places around or not...keep in mind that when we start talking down the NROPS, the OPs' legal staff probably are not that happy either.
I see the NROPs at best as at least some recourse for those whose doc just got closed down...whose records just expired...whatever.
At worst...they are the outer ring of dominos protecting the inner ring of telemedicine.
That is my interest in keeping them around...purely selfish. The more flamingos in a solid flock, the harder it is to pick out one particular flamingo.
Do I need to make another silly example, or does someone finally get it?
If we want to delude ourselves that ambitious reporters, prosecutors and LE agents would happily go away and leave us alone if all the NROPs close down, I guess we can.
But it is a dangerous and painful delusion.
Sooner or later porta meds will be required. I bet some finger imprint at the time of exam will be transmitted to the OP as well. This is great if maybe then Sch II will be available, or we can switch off on different meds from consult time to consult time with the attending doc to prevent tolerance.
It is not so great if anyone here has had a DUI, needs a security clearance, or somehow is trying to buy a house or car with a particularly up-to-date credit company.
Please, my dear friends. Think. I say this from mixed empathy and fear. Don't start the dominoes going. Please.

Yes, I agree i think we should just let this one go, and be grateful that we have options when it comes to acquiring the medications that we require.
Most of us here, I am sure are mature adults and are quite capable of making decisions for ourselves.
No one here is in a position to decide what is right or wrong when it comes to choosing a method of acquiring our medication requirments.

Of course, LE can order from any of these guys as easily as anyone and no doubt have - if you think they don't know what's going on here, I'm afraid you're being a bit naive.
So I don't see how hiding anything will do any good (unfortunately), however I don't see any reason for posting it either. In other words, it won't make a difference one way or the other.
Also, the reason you see the same doc a lot is that most of these are "sister sites" - many of them owned by the same people.

I agree that this a moot point. However, could this "single doctor" theory explain why people are getting busted for double dipping, even though they go out of thier way to used multiple OP that are NOT the same company, or affiliated?

Hi I'm a Big "lurker" but maybe that will change since I've just gotten access to a laptop and can use it unless my daughter who is starting nursing school next week needs it takes it away!!! I belong to both sides of this board and just thought I'd put in my 2cents re: the whole NROP. This board has definitely educated me in many ways. A couple of years ago I came upon (not even sure how I found it now)a place on the web that sold hydro's. Had a neck, shoulder , left arm injury in Jan 2001 and had tests run, (multiple) and ended up seeing 4 drs. besides physical therapy. (Yes this does have a NROP point!!!)Well where I live there are just 1 group of neurologists, 1 pain doc, and the physical medicine doctor I saw was about the only 1 giving out any pain medicine but finally he just said you need to stop taking it (this is after 2 yrs!!) and just exercise and deal with or become a "drug addict". His exact words!! Then the pain doctor for 3 yrs. only wanted to give all those wonderful epidurals and steriod injections. You know writing a prescription for any kind of pain meds doesn't bring in money. Well finally my insurance changed and looked at all those injections as "surgical" and that went to my very high deductible. Now I'm going to get back to the point of NROP etc.... I did get a copy of my MRI from March 2001 and my medical records from the pain doc except from the last time I saw him. But before I had those records I ordered from NROP (didn't even know that's what it was at the time just saw I could order what I needed)Well I thought "how great is this!!" I don't have to see any more doctors about all this, tell them how I really hurt, blah blah blah. And at this time, the prices weren't bad at all. I had no problems until the day their website posted a problem and if any of y'all who ordered from them might remember, it was Buymeds. Well that really burst my bubble and it took me awhile until I found another one and they lasted a little while ALLUSASCRIPTS then they too didn't let you order hydro's either. Well thank goodness I joined this board and now a member of the records OP group. I've seen different discussions about this and of course if you have the medical records it's much cheaper to go that route. But there are different circumstances for everyone and I've seen a few people that seem to look down on those (and I include me in the "those")that order from NROP like maybe their need for medication isn't warranted or they need to have the documentation to prove that they are in pain or whatever. I know I'm not saying that exactly right but hope y'all get the gist of it. Well with the ROP's I believe that there is a cutoff period at how old your medical records can be. Well if you have a chronic pain condition, it's not real likely that it's going to change a whole lot. I go to my primary doc every few months for "checkup" (this is not doctor that treated my initial inj. but knows of it etc.) regarding my seasonal allergies, asthma but I'm not going to go back to the pain doc for more trigger point inj. ($300) or cervical epidurals ($800) to get 10 or 15 7.5 hydros or better yet 20 ultram or whatever. But then it seems as though that my medical records w/ the ROP will expire at some time or another. Has anyone dealt with this before? and if so what do you have to do then?? Always having a NROP available when needed sure would help and hopefully will be around awhile but I really question it at times and what are people going to do if they "go out of business"? Doctors under prescribe and then when you live where I do and this is a city including surrounding little suburbs of almost 200,000 that only has once doctor that specializes in pain management and he originally was an anesthesiologist (which maybe they all are I'm not sure)So if he wrote scripts to treat all his pain patients adequetely w/narcotics he would be scared to death and probably rightly so as to send off red flags to DEA, so therefore we all suffer.
Well I really got going on this tangent quite a bit but I'm not sure if I've ever seen anyone address the question of having medical records that document diagnosis, treatments etc. but then they will eventually be old because of going to NROP or ROP. My pcp doc. of course knows my trouble but I don't even get any documentation from her (not even a slip when I check out) and my file with her is pretty big as I've seen her for 9 yrs. I do however know that things are going to have to change for chronic pain patients because having to hurt all the time is pretty bad. Docs won't give enough meds but then there is the tolerance issue. I take the hydro and soma and it gets to be a problem and I have to go without it for about 4 days (that's about all I can take before I give in to the pain lately. Sometimes I could go for 1-2weeks) I've never taken anything stronger which I sure wish I could but that's impossible in this town. My dear dad who has since died, crushed his elbow a little over 3 yrs. ago and they gave him vicodin 5/500 or maybe it was 7.5 but anyway it was take 1 or 2 every 6-8 hrs. as needed for pain. Well needless to say it didn't touch it. He was scheduled to see the pain doc (yep same one I see, for an injection in his neck) and we brought up the issue about the vicodin not helping and he put him on some morphine. Well I thought that was all good and got the pills filled and it was give 1 4x's a day. Well that didn't even help either. I had always thought morphine was so strong. So anyway I ended up taking one and it didn't help me out too much and my elbow wasn't crushed although my discs in my neck hit nerves, I'm sure the bones in his elbow did also. Come to find out later that it was a low dose of morphine (10mg) and they said to ice his elbow also!! Well I've jumped from subj. to subj. and sorry about that. (must be the new laptop!!LOL)Thanks for listening and if anyone has thoughts.........

This is kind of odd to me, because I have only received one script from a NROP that even HAD a doctor's name on it! I was actually shocked when the label came printed that way! And it was not one of the ones mentioned! LOL!

This is just odd to me. After a couple years of dealing with NROPs I have yet to recall ever geting a bottle that did not have a doctor's name printed on it. Also, I rarely ever noticed the same doctor's name, and I NEVER noticed the same doctor's name from mutiple ops. I'm not disputing anyone's word at all though... I guess I'm just thankfull that mine always had the prescribing doctor's name clearly on the label, and I never had a reason to question any such things.

Thank God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is another stream of consciousness person on the board; oh yes, people, you should see the look on my husband's face when he gets stuck with me in traffic; like a trapped and desperate animal at times who loves its tormentor ; but he can talk a mile too, believe me you!
Jenken, you brought up the point that always bothers me; if one has a longstanding diagnosis, one must update one's records...little by little, the drs know what's going on, I just think they don't care as long as they are not the one writing for you. This may change if the health care system gets restructured; which it must if our economy is to survive. I don't want to think about that tonight. But I am very very watchful these days.
Second, on one side of my family, we react to opiates the same way; hit or miss. But we feel pain like crazy. Bad combination. I think it's connected (pain and inability to respond to all meds,) but it's a cruel coincidence all the same.
I am thrilled you got a laptop. Post away and welcome to the board!!!

Thanks pretty. Men for you huh!!LOL You should have seen my long distance phone bill to my best friend before we ever got cell phones!! The only problem I've got it seems is that my records for ROP are from my pain dr. If and when (I'll probably end up going eventually)I go, I have to tell the truth regarding how much pain I actually feel on a day to day basis. I have always had a tendency to minimize to EVERYONE. Well when I mention i really really hurt, I know he just won't want to listen. He'll want to schedule me down the line for shots, epidurals etc. So it makes it hard to really complain about your pain during an office visit and then turn around and walk out since he dictates his notes later in the day. So I guess I'll just cross that bridge when I get to it and I know you didn't want to contemplate anymore tonight but thanks for answering and I do really need to post more!!! Guess it just doesn't need to be in ONE BIG POST!!!LOL

NROP'S are not illegal nationally. Some might say they operate within a gray area of the law, but I they are not, nor have been made illegal in most states.
There are a few states which have passed laws or had court cases which ruled them illegal. That's why you clearly see all the NROPs clearly state no shipping to Nevada, and several other states on their web pages.
If they were illegal, and a law on the books clearly stating them as such, these NROP's would not operate at all. To open a pharmacy (retail or internet) creates a hugh paper trial. You can't just call up watson labs and tell them your a pharmacy and need to order 100,000 generic lortab.
And you can't get hydrocodone internationally either, so if your ordering Hydro is massive quanties on the wholesale level the US Gov't knows about it, or can easily find about it if they want to investigate you bad enough. They can easily determine whose writing and selling all the scripts online and will put you out of business for good if they care to.
One might say that some of these NROP places open and close up quickly to try and avoid getting a case put on them, or avoid any kind of lenghty invesigation. So what business does not want to avoid a government investigation?
I am a small business owner and if I noticed the majority of my competitors were getting audited by the IRS every year, and all I would have to do is a name change and web page change a couple of times a year to avoid an IRS investigation and audit. I would sure as hell do it. That does not mean I am breaking the law, because I want to avoid being hasseled by the law.
(That's exactly what might be going on with these non- record and record OPs and the DEA.)
One might also say that with: 1. the war on terror. 2. Customs problems caused by 1,000s of scripts from clearly illegal Ineternational OPs which are letting drugs much worse than hydro through.
3. Border control problems, 4. The tusnami, and on and on.
The goverment agency's have enough on their plate right now, and does not have the time or rescources to care about checking out every NROP that they find out about or hear about, especially since its not clearly illegal, and usually already closed or have a name change in place by the time they find out about it.
Because believe me if its proven illegal. There will no more NROPs.
just my 2 cents.

Very Good Post easycheese!!
Many of the points you sight are what I have been trying to say myself (altough you said it better). I feel some are confused about the legal status of NROPs, and indeed... on a federal level it's very obvious that the domestic NROPs are not clearly ileagle dispite what the feds might say on the matter. If it was obvious they were ileagle they would simple stop them- after all it isnt hard to track the paper trail- as you sight.

While we are on the subject of NROP's, has anyone placed an order with http://www.oceanpills.com/ and what kind of service did you get? Who was the prescribing Physician? Initials will be sufficient.

Exactly right. Some things are better left unsaid. Use the common sense that most humans possess.
The original poster of this thread should have deleted it after he/she realized that this subject is not relevant what so ever to NROPs. Ask yourself if you really care who's name is on your bottle.

I am the original poster, and feel that I have the right to defend myself, perhaps you should think before you make any comments.
Not once did I ask what the name of the Doctor was. I was simply making an observation. If all these NROP's use the same Doctor, what will happen when this Doctor is no longer in the buisness. Will there be anyone there to take his place, or will the NROP's cease to exist? I know that if there is a demand there is usually always a supply.

I think we have conclusively determined that all nrop scripts are NOT coming from the same doctor. No one else has noticed this. I just got scripts from a doc in FL that I have never seen before, and have never heard mentioned anywhere on msg boards. Soory dood.
