See a Chiropractor first. Why not cure the cause instead of treating the symptoms. I speak from experience. Bad car wreck 27 years ago. I first saw an MD and he prescribed pain pills. The second time my back went out I saw a Chiropractor and so glad I did. Pain is the bodies way of telling you to not move that way. If you take pain pills, it feels all better and you move around and just make it worse.

I agree, initially.
I have chronic back pain (5 years+) and while I do still take pain meds for it occasionally I also see a chiropractor every 2 weeks. Also, I had severe disabling migraines for 10 years of my life, always taking pain meds, saw my chiropractor twice, and I've never had a migraine since

I too still take pain meds for my back sometimes. I go for long periods of time without going to the Chiropractor for monetary reasons. I would go every two weeks if I could afford it. I have learned to live with it, how to lift with my legs, what my limits are etc. When it does go out now, very rarely, I lie on an ice pack for 15 minute intervals and it ususally speeds up the healing process. When I do go to the Chiropractor is seems to help my allergies of all things! Any single Chiropractors out there?

Wow, thx you guys for giving me a good idea. I have a few other questions. Can a Chiropractor give you the paper work i.e.(Phycial)that most sites need to so-called give the meds you need? Are would I have to see a doc to get a phycial done? What if the doc say that nothing wrong with me,when I know, by the pain there is!!! what then!!!
Once again thx all for your help and post's

No, they can't prescribe pain meds, but could write a letter to your doc explaining the reason for the pain and suggest meds perhaps, then you would have a good reason for the doc to give you pain meds.
A good chiropractor will tell you wether or not he can treat your specific pain. DON'T expect to be cured in one treatment though, it can be an expensive journey, but if it stops the pain, right?
If you have any more questions you can PM me

Thats funny. Everyone who goes to a chiropractor has to keep returning, its like they only temporarily fix you, not to mention its not cheap. Thru my personal experience I reccomend finding a good pain management specialist, with most back and neck injuries its permanent anyways, best to have the pain killers. Good luck.
