Flaming/Flame Wars
Flaming is reacting to someone's board posting or PM in a hostile manner by publicly chastising the person or bombarding the person with nasty posts or PM's. Flaming may occur to users that engage in behavior that violates what is considered proper board netiquette. A flame war occurs when two or more users flame each other in an escalating manner that threatens to continue unabated. If you notice a flame war developing just notify the moderator or adminitrator and let them handle it. Do not take part in flame wars. If you do you will be banned even if you did not start it :-)

Anyone Having Delays with Fed-Ex?
      #209874 - 12/23/04 11:57 PM

I never got a tracking # for my order today, so I was wondering if anyone sees any delay's with FedEx right now?

The weather look fine through FL and TN . That's where it seems all the package get routed through. So anyone have any info?

Thanks for any help you may provide!

Well, the thread you are talking about is in a whole different part of the forum.

So no, I didn't see the posts about FedEx's problems. Because this section of the forum (open discussion) seemed like a more sensible place for such a topic.

I contacted FedEx yesterday and I was told that they were snowed in at Memphis. And that they were having delays due to the volume of the christmas season. To me it doesn't look like I am going to get my meds before Christmas. I hope others are having better luck than me on this one. I hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday season.

Got my package this morning. Fedex really is trying, since around midnight last night my package was still in Memphis, and it arrived here in VA at 10:30 this morning.

Merry Christmas

I would encourage anyone getting the run around. I have a Christmas gift I ordered some time ago that was Overnighted to me yesterday, FEDEX. I am in California and the shipper is in Arizona. No bad weather in between us, and there were no airport delays last night to affect the shipment. The item made it to the California airport that is an hour away from my home at 3:46am. There it stopped. I have made a series of calls. The last one, before I found someone with a heart and conscience told me that my order wasn't addresssed to me and she would discuss it no further. This was after she tried to tell me the weather was delaying it until Monday. I told her there is no bad weather, and it is only 1 hour away at this point. That is when the attitude began on her end. Bad weather, and then, "Mam, this isn't even addressed to you." I asked if perhaps it was merely a name mispell, and even recited my address. She advised, "No, not even close." I got off the phone very upset because it has been one delay after another, and this is a substantial item for my Mom who is moving out of state today. I decide to call back and check, and then I get a decent person. She tells me, the only things wrong was a one letter mispell on my first name. The rest is as it should be, and the woman that gave the bad information and attitude was actually someone out of British Columbia. Dear Lord, they are sending us out of country for complaints. I explained to her that I realize they are dealing with a nightmare with all the delays, but this went too far because she blatantly lied when I called her on it.

So again, you may get the wrong answer three times, or four times, but just don't give up hope. I can't believe I am saying that, given all my life has been this past few years - don't give up hope. Merry Christmas, or for those sensitive to the term, Happy Hohohoho-Holidays!

I was supposed to receive my meds from DHL yesterday through Cyberscripts. I didn't get a tracking number but CS said it would be here yesterday. We have a foot of snow here and the roads are ice so I guess thats why my package didn't come. Weird thing is I looked up DHL in my phonebook but did not see a #? Well hopefully it comes at least by Monday.
Merry X Mas to all!
