Saw my PM doc yesterday...and have been having problems with terrible muscle spasms. He did trigger point injections which helped for a few hours, but today the spasms are back.
He said next time I'm in he'll inject Botox...sounds reasonable...has anyone had this done? Did it work for you?
A buddy of mine has Parkinsons and hes only 39. He gets muscle spasms in his neck and shoulders that are practically debilitating. Hes been doing the botox treatment for them for the last 9 months or so and it has really made a difference. Hes more in control, less headaches and less visual trembling. Botox wears off in about 9-12 weeks, so if it doesnt work for you, at least its not permanent.

I get trigger point injections, but you have to make sure that they get massaged in well immediately afterwards. If you go for the botox, let me know how it goes. Love to get something that lasts longer - although I can get a couple of months from trigger points if I'm careful about what I lift.
Yeah, the trigger points hurt like HE&& though, so I'm thinking I'm gonna go for the botox, just to get the longer relief...makes sense if you think about it though
