Hey,

Yea, you don't hear about seconal and its cousins too much anymore. They would knock you out. The "Downers", "Goofballs" of the 60's and 70's.

Big companies used to give them to employees that had long plane flights.

I remember the "homemade" 714's that were kinda chalky and actually made with diazepam. Man those things would knock your socks off and caused many an "od". Do you remember "preludes"? That would wake you up in the morning!
The stories I could tell from those days are endless and I, like you, could talk forever on the subject. Total different world now. It was actually somewhat socially accepted back then. Yes, the "good ole days". Anyway, you all have a great weekend and Holiday Season.
Later,Express

You're probably correct. I just remember everyones script being changed. Really too long ago to remember details; we're talking about 30 years ago.

Sure I recall Placidyl, taken off the market because the t therapeutic dose was too close to the toxic dose. I recall Doriden as well. If taken with 4 Tylenol #4 it was called a load, since it came so close to a heroin high. That resulted in it's removal in the 80's.
I was at the time a Level One Trauma Nurse, and saw many overdoses on both, and they were extremely difficult to treat.
Anyone wanted more info on the oldies, feel free to PM me.
