increases in delivery times recently?
      #205499 - 12/05/04 10:27 PM

hi,
I've got a couple IOP orders that are taking longer than normal. One from a company in London, pretty legitimate over the years, usually takes 10 days this time around it is at 17 and counting. The other a first time order from an European/Asian outfit that states 8 to 18 days with avg at 13 (can be as high as 28 ) is at 15 days. At this point it's anybodies quess. Question I have for anyone who would be kind enough to chime in if some of the same sightings are being experienced at present. All my stuff is just blood pressure meds, beta blockers, and the smart drug Adrafinil. Anybody else seeing some delays (or..running late) these days? Thanks

It's the holiday season. Same thing happened last year with deliveries taking longer. More people mailing packages, cards, etc..

Yeah, I'm still waiting on an order shipped on Nov 19th. The website promised 7-10 day delivery with normal shipping and I stupidly chose the less expensive method. Still waiting. I've contacted the company and they reported lots of the same type of email delivery delay complaints.
So, for those of us who don't celebrate Xmas, it's just another reason to hate the season....
Good Luck,
Wolf

Hi b5t3,

I have also noticed the slower than usual shipping times over the last few weeks. I chalked it up to the Holidays being upon us. Doesn't make the wait any easier though, I know.

Hope your stuff arrives soon.

I agree last year the same thing happened. But recently my orders have been coming quicker than usual from phillipines and Argentina even with the usual Thanksgiving slow down.

13 days from Phillipines and 10 days from Argentina........

My quickest was 8 days from Argentina!!

That is extremely odd. It could be due to your location?

Usually expect a 4-5 day delay during the entire month of December. I have outstanding orders from IOPs that are taking longer than usual. I'm not getting worried yet. After a month from order I might e-mail the company and ask for another explaination besides the season.

Always keep in mind that these places have no control over your package once it has left their hands.

Same here, I just got my order from overseas from Medlinrx in 3 days only after shipping, with express, it was much slower last year.

Get used to it. It's been this way every year for the past 10-15 and I don't expect it to change soon. Just make sure that next year you are ready for it and have extra meds on hand just in case, if they're that life-important for you. I normally get packages from the phillipines in 8 or 9 days, but today I got the first 1/2 of an order from there that was placed on Nov 19. Give them a day to package and ship, and I figure that it took aprox. 15-17 days to arrive (darn int'l date line confusing things!). Not bad, but about double what is a normal delivery time.

Honestly folks, you should be (not literally...) on your knees thanking the medicine gods that delivery times are generally so good. It was only about 2 years ago or less that if you got a package in 3 weeks it was cause for celebration while many would take 30-40 days, and some would even take as long as 70-90 days and those were the ones that WEREN'T lost! Or at least, they did eventually arrive. This 2-week delivery time is a fairly recent change and I for one am thrilled about it. It's much better remembering when you only have 5-10 pills left that you forgot to order your meds when it takes only a week to 10 days, than to realize you're almost out and have pretty much zero chance of getting any orders in the mail in less than 4-6 weeks. Most sites, like the once beloved Access-Meds, Speed-Rx, Curepharma, Netpharm2000, libsol, and just about every other now-gone pharm of years gone by even had a disclaimer stating that they don't even want to hear any e-mail complaints until at least 30 days have passed because 30 days was pretty common a delivery time.

Hope everyone has enough meds to make it thru the season. On the bright side, they have far more mail to sort which greatly lessens the chances of your meds being seized....

well I got a letter on friday that the fda is holding my two heart medications. enalapril and propranolol. in miami. they have been held since 11/30. this explains the situation. I sent the person at the fda in miami an email asking for the medications to be sent on to me. more later. but actually this points out that there is really no slow down at all for me.

Don't bother, more to the point, don't waste your time dealing with the FDA if it's been seized. I"m not 1000% about the FDA like I am with the fat DEA love-letters that have US Customs stamped on the envelope as the return address, but i've seen both and IMO they state the same thing. Look around on this site, there is a very detailed file from the DEA that explains the law as it is written as to what is necessary to import meds. I know it's heart-med and not morphine or valium or anything "of abuse" but REGARDLESS of what anyone keeps claiming this site, what you did was technically illegal (in the magnitude of a "small white lie" not a major crime) because even if you have a prescription here and all your medical records and prorably even if you brought your prescribing doctor with you, you still have to pre-register with the DEA and become a federally licensed medicine importer (with license, as I said) that the DEA issues before you can have any kind of med, whether it be viagra or med for your cat, all the way up to the very strongest stuff, because of the regulations. There's info at https://drugbuyers.com/members/dispensing_controlled_substances/ that explains it. Regardless of what 1 or 2 posters claim, you cannot walk into the offices of Customs with your records & have them just hand them over to you. i've been ordering meds for over 15 years and have read these laws and debated them with others until it's been beaten to death, and the conclusion is that unless the law has changed quite recently, you have to be registered & licensed and on file. I'm not trying to burst your bubble, but that IS how things have operated for as long as meds have been available from overseas w/o visiting the doc or at least talking to the doc in person. If laws have changed, someone pleaase correct me, but at up until at least a few months ago am positive that's how the law works.

good luck! Hope the next order makes it thru....

- hope this is clear, I just woke up and am am a bit cloudy, but you don't have to take my word for it because there's precise info on this site from the DEA, and you can also check the DEA on the web or call/write them.

If it were as easy as just protesting the seizure at least a few of the plethora of DB.com users would be able to get their meda back by doing just that.

Listvoer,
Same thing happened 2 years ago, different company. Sent an email to individual listed , had meds within 2 weeks. Hope the one in miamio has a heart. These are, after all, blood pressure, pulse control meds I've taken for 10 years. Not sure about cold turkey consequences, but don't want to find out. Mentioned my life was in hands of FDA processor and I hope she has Happy Holidays, and I hope she allows me the same. We will see.
