Jupiter - Codeine 15mg
      #204157 - 11/30/04 06:45 PM

I do not know much about codeine, but are these guys' very weak or is Codeine at 15mg very weak? I took 5 of these things and only felt a little releif. I was under the impression that 4 of them was "about" equal to 10mg of hydro. This felt like I took an aleve!
They dont have that much, but they did good by me.
Jupiter is a great company and ships very well.

Anyways anyone know anything about these tiny pills?

you taking 5 is equal to taking 2.5 ty3's, nowhere near a 10mg hydro. .

I'm having the same experience as you. It seems like a really great deal until you realize you've gotta take like half a dozen to make even a small dent in your pain .

I've never seen 15 mg. offered before. Most everywhere else (that I've seen) codeine is offered in 30, 45, or 60 mg. When you do the math it's not really that great a deal and I'd sure rather have shipped the same amount of pills that were at least double strength so I'd only have to take 3 instead of 6 and have them last that much longer.

I'm not complaining tho; it could definitely be worse-alot worse. It's really just the amount you need to take that makes it not such a great venture. I'm just going to be sure I always get at least 30 mg. for this particular med. They do work but hydro seems alot more potent. I'm finding I like to switch between the two.

I have used this company about 3 different times and also made a couple post on them. My post basically mentioned "very fast shipping, decent discreet packing. But for a Web site that flashes all top name brand "Pictures" next to all there products, they almost all say Our Brand-(then a generic version name next to those "real" pics. My experience with there "version" or "generic" brands of Xanax, valium and especially the Ativan is they are beyond "weak", they literally are useless. Be careful with those nice pictures the site can be misleading. Just my opinion but the medicine quality they sent me and the brands get a grade of F- from this board follower. But who knows maybe they will work better for your system? But I sure won't use them again. Joanne

Codeine sulfate is the product they sell. It dissociates far less readily in water than does codeine phosphate does. The Phosphate salt is the American standard.

The upshot of this is that the sulfate is absorbed into the bloodstream slower than the phosphate. This would be perceived as a weaker effect. It would also mean a somewhat longer effect.

The pills are the real deal mg. wise. A simple test convinced me.

hmmm, They pic of the codeine was the same That I received. But, yes the quality, well that leaves something to be desired. I hope that eruo valiums arent weak as sht.Not from Jupiter, but from Raj, or Slobo?

Anyone know about this?

Anybody order or try their valiums? Just wondering if their V's are any good . Are they kinda large white round pills or smaller or blue pils? Thanks for anyone's help.
And just a comment about the 15mg of codiene. You would have to take 10 of those to equal maybe 5mg of hydro. Also you would be better off to take some tylenol with the codiene because it would actually would have increased the potentcy. I have been taking pain meds for a while and work in nursing so I know a little about meds. Wishing everyone to have a pain free evening. Unidenbearcat

Have not tried their vals.. But i have to agree w/the statement that the lil 15mg's are a bit on the low side. Have to practically take 7 or 8 of em to even start to feel a little relief, so all in all it's not THAT great of a bargain! BUT, it's better than a stick in the eye!! And, they are little, so you can throw 4/5 of em in your gullet at one time... They'd be really great for someone that is trying to wean off hyd or anything for that matter...

I think Thanatopium probably has it right, the codeine that Jupiter sells is probably just not as readily absorbed as what we are used to so they seem weaker. I've been dealing with lingering pain from a horseback riding accident and was really glad to get my latest shipment from Jupiter as I was just about out of both pain relievers and muscle relaxants. Anyway, 2 coedisan usually are enough to help with the pain so I figured that would equal out to about 4 of these tablets. I took 4, waited an hour with no noticible effect, then took four more. For me anyway, it took eight (approx 120 mg) to have a similar effect to 2 codeisan (approx 60 mg). It did seem like the effect lasted a little longer so that also leads me to believe that Thanatopium is right

On a different note, I have ordered the generic Soma from Jupiter twice and it has proven to be very high quality so I wouldn't hesitate to try other meds from them.

I am wondering, if the codeine sulfate beads are not as easily absorbed as the european version, would drinking more water help them dissolve quicker? It takes approx 10 beads to do the deed for me. Once in a blue moon, I'll add one tylenol, but only if the pain's real bad. I do prefer the codeisan, but am glad just to be able to have this in a pinch.

Re: Jupiter - Codeine 15mg, does it contain APAP???? [Re: squirrelgirl5]

I just looked at their website under the description for codeine sulfate. It says it contains aceptaminophen, which is very disturbing to me as I thought it was pure codeine. Since I take about 10 codeine sulfate at a shot, if this does indeed contain APAP, that is not good at all I was pretty shocked to read this, I don't recall seeing it on the website originally. The pills are so small however, I don't see how they could possibly contain any product besides codeine, wishful thinking ....!

yea most codine pills contain aceptaminophen, tylenol, APAP or some other kind of liver killer . 10 at a time you would be better off with 1 10mg hydro .
Good Luck!

well, just recieved package from Jupiter pharm. very timely, but curious about the codeine sulfate, 15mg. I take 2 hydro 500mg and that does the trick. Is this pointless to take the codeine? I also got the proxyvon, which i guess is there darvacet. Any thoughts?
