I have a 'scrip for 80 ultram, one every 6hrs as needed. How many days before I can refill this with my insurance co. 'Scrip is from my general doc. I assume 4x6=24 so 4 a day divided by 80 would mean 20 days but the "as needed" part confuses me.
you should be able to refill when you have 25% left that is the general rule, so if it's a 20 day supply you should be able to get it on the 16th or 17th day
if it reads 1 every 4 hours as needed (if you need then you take) that is 6 a day so that makes it a 14 day supply which you can get on the 11th day probably, if it is 1 every 6 hrs then that's 4 a day for a 20 day supply try to get on the 16th day
your correct! The as needed is just so they don't have to tell you to take the max prescribed which is 1 every 6 hours but if you did need them and took them then you can refill in 20 days!
