3 people have told me that they have this herbal substance at GNC that gives you the feeling of Lortab. I laughed when I heard this and said YAAA RIGHT, but they told me they was serious. Has anyone ever heard such a wild thing?? Thats insane if thats true, but I HIGHLY doubt it.

Could you be more specific? I've read about a number of herbal substances that have been gaining favor, if it contains something I can provide you with some links explaining some of the claims.

I read an article recently regarding herbal suppliments. They are not regulated. They are often adulterated with pharmaceuticals, especially those from China.
In the sample tested, some pills had alprazolam. Others had testosterone and other steroids. I would not be surprised if it happened again. If it is true, please let us know and we can all buy them out. Remember, MDMA used to be sold in herbal stores and truck stops.

This is absolutely not true.
Most of this comes from an "herbal supplement" imported from China called 'Sleeping Buddha' which really contained triazolam, a benzo. The FDA banned it.
These stories pop up from time to time, usually because someone wants to seal an unknown brand of herbal supplement.
What you buy from GNC, unfortunately, does not contain any goodies- and to the best of my knowledge, never has.

It would be nice to know the name of the supplement you are actually talking about.

Wow,
Please be careful. Don't mess with stuff you know nothing about. Don't visit herbal shops and buy things you know nothing about. You'll end up getting sick,

It was just called 'Sleeping Buddha' - you can't get it anymore. Google it if you wanna know teh backstory, this happened a few years ago.

Well that sounds like a danged shame! It seems like whenever something herbal comes along that actually WORKS, the FDA finds a reason to ban it, REAL QUICK.

Yep, the pharmaceutical companies can't get a piece of the pie, so most alternative medicines are squashed pronto. Now, if they had a lobby....

i hate the FDA to pieces, but selling halcion otc would be a little bit disconcerting in my 'umble 'pinion. Won't anyone think of the CHILDREN? (j/k - enough already with the young 'uns)
Funny though; if it really works, it will eventually turn out to be modern medicine posing as herbal miracles. Puts the wisdom of homeopathy into perspective just a wee bit.
