Can anyone provide me some info on effectiveness? Is it more/less effective than ambien? Any weird side effects?

Just another happy member of the benzo family. Must have a relatively short half-life as it is used as a sleeper in Australia and other countries. (Better-informed members, of which there are many, please feel free to jump right in.)
As for it's effectiveness, as the saying goes, YMMV, but, personally, I found it to be nothing to write home about. I guess it made me a little drowsy but, then, so will Valium if I take a tenzer or two. I do like the name of this med (which is nitrazepam?). It sounds like a Japanese monster: "Godzilla VS. Mogadon." Coming Soon.
But, Whoops -- This thread should be moved to "Prescription Drug Discussion" or somewhere like it; this med isn't even available in the U.S.

Thanks for the info, so maybe valium would be good for me as well. I have insomnia but alot of it is stress and work related, any thoughts on that??
