I'm not really up on prescription orders. I know someone out there knows the answer to this! What does "I tid" mean?

Hi, tid means 3 times a day. bid means 2 times a day, qid means four times a day. Prn means when needed. There are others, if you need any more.

TID = tid = 3 time a day
also
QID = qid = 4 times a day
BID = bid = twice a day

Here's a few more -
PO - by mouth
SQ - subcutaneous (under the skin)
SL - sublingual (under the tongue)
"Q" before any order means "every".....ie - QHS means every night
QOD - every other day

I didn't know I was going to start, a questionare when I said (tid). Most people know them from learning in the Medical Field, or learning how to forge scripts.

t is three..q is quad ...b is bi....but it can get more complicated when they use more Latin..and make it hard to read.
