It is called Aqtic. That stuff is potentially dangerous. EXTREMELY ADDICTIVE. I wouldn't use it unless I was dying. That stuff could just end up ruining your life if you get dependent on that stuff.
I wouldn't advise playing with that stuff without close MD supervision.

I took fentanyl one time (in patch form), and it knocked me on my [censored]. I can't imagine it in oral form. That's something I would not want to mess with - too addicting and too dangerous.

My I just have a high tolerance..I don't know! But my Pain Management Clinic switched me from hydro 10/325 to Duragesic (fentanyl) patches for the months of August and September. They did squat for me. I was totally unimpressed. DON'T DO WHAT I DO but I did test the waters with this and nothing happened. I read all the info on this stuff and got scared out of my wits about people dying on the stuff, eating the patches, choking on the plastic....I begged the clinic to take me off them and put me back on hydro...no go...
Let me just say that these patches worked for me in a very subtle way, no euphoria but did make my pain manageable. I did not get addicted to them.

Look those patches slow down the CNS to the point where you actually stop breathing. They do make it in oral. The last person had it right it's called actiq. Not sure of spelling but it comes in 200 microunits 400 units and 800 units melts under the tongue

oral fentanyl is very tricky. You go from effective dose to OD very easily. When I worked on the ambulance you would not beleive the times we treated elderly (in nursing homes) who got a hold of the patch and chewed on it. it requried large amounts of narcan (reverses and blocks opiates) some times we used more narcan then on heroin ODs. it sneaks up on you. this med needs to be used with alot of caution. theraputic and OD are very close in alot of people.

It isn't just you..I was on the 75 mcg. patch for a few weeks and it didn't do anything for me either..and was a PITA to deal with also. My doc put me on 90 mg. of Avinza (sustained release morphine) and that did the trick, but only until I could get to the pain management doc, who doesn't believe in prescribing pain meds, but prefers instead to stick 8 inch hot needles in your back to kill the nerve endings..which didn't help either..so now it's back to Hydro from OP's until my new insurance kicks in and I start the whole process over with a new team (PCP, ortho, and PMD).
