Estimated Delivery Time (UPS)
      #199678 - 11/12/04 01:09 AM

Does anyone know if there is a way to track a shipment and receive the estimated delivery time. I believe Fed Ex does this, but I'm not sure about UPS. It would be nice to whether to expect my package around 10 or around 3.

it usually comes in the afternoon if its ground, and in the morning if its 2-day or next-day air. exact times vary between states.

Of course you can track the day it will arrive, but the time is not available. They usually come about the same time give or take few hours from the time they usually deliver (most of the time for me that is). Or just have the address to the UPS hub, and you know you can see when they arrived at the hub, by tracking, and pick them up when you want.

Hi. I thought I remembered reading something (a WHILE back) about UPS 2nd day sometimes arriving next day. Meaning, they sent it out today 2nd day, but could it possibly arrive tomorrow? Does anyone have experience w/ UPS 2nd day? Thanks.

I've only had that happen with fed-ex 2nd-day air packages, I think ups would keep it at the hub if it arrived a day early. I have a number for the local ups dispatch, I call them and they tell me when ups will be in my area, then I go find him, never fails.

Oh, that's right. It was Fed Ex 2nd day that arrives next day. Oh well. Thanks!

Good Morning All,

I know I have read here (somewhere) that there is an alternative way to track UPS shipments...Meaning, if I don't have a tracking number yet, either my order number or address will work.

Is this true?

If so, will someone tell me how to go about it?

Rx1stop and it's sister sites used to use the order # as its reference # and you could use that to track it with. You took the order number, your zip code and country I believe I think, you would have to look at the UPS website. If you are looking for a different site other than rx1stop I don't know how to look it up, sorry.

Thank you Swtangel,

I will give it a try. I have a feeling this order may have shipped.

i have ordered 2nd day delivery and received packages 8 days later. These shipping places guarantee delivery but when your packages are late the just apologize. So nothing is guaranteed.

This particular operation didn't offer anything else other than two-day air.

They did ship via UPS Ground. However, "Ground" from PA to MA is two days. They were shipped last night, 11/22 and are "In Transit--Ontime," scheduled delivery date of 11/24.

Guess I lucked out.

Painfree and happy Thanksgiving to all.

I have ordered Fed Ex 2nd day and my est delivery date was, well, 2 days from shipping and I received next day, even when tracking the Fed Ex site claimed a day later. What a nice surprise when I got home!
