Does anyone have recent experience with this group? I tried to fax info to them as instructed at the website and fax wouldn't go though.

One thing, they used to have a 23 day refill policy, and without telling anyone, they switched to a 25 day policy on Monday. Pissed off a few people.

Has anyone used this place recently. I dont need a consult service as I use and am happy w/ Ephy but have a friend who has had issues with Ephy's pharmacy and is looking at this place. Just making sure both dont use Universal RX or she may as well cross her fingers and use Ephy again because of the cheaper consult as she doesnt want to spend $120+ for a consult and also checking on prices for 10/325 generics. Thanks.

Something's up with Health Plan. I've always been very pleased with them. However, today when I called to get my refill they refused to ship it. They said they were doing an audit of all patient's files and I needed more updated records. I had my last physical done in January, which they have. She said that they can't be more than 6 months old.
I told her that you are only suppose to have a routine physical once a year, but she wouldn't listen to me. It's funny b/c I just had a consult with them a few weeks ago with my "old records" and everything was fine then.

Something is definitely up with them. I've heard nothing but horror stories. Exactly like yours. Now they want these medical records and they WILL call your doctor!! So, if your using them because your doctor won't prescribe you the meds you need, DON'T use them!! A friend of mine is very upset with them because they called his doctor and now he no longer has a doctor because of them calling. So, I'm just letting everyone know that they will check with your local doc.

Yeh, the place that used to fill for them has separated (hmmm) itself from them. If you call Linda at 877-847-0400, she is extremely helpful and can fully explain what is going on. Or call the old Health Plan number (813-889-9779)and ask for Tonya and ask her where to fax your records. The new name is Ediscountrx.com. According to Linda, this is a new OP instead. They are more expensive in terms of meds, however, they don't charge for consults at all. All she said was that your records have to be up-to-date. I have not used them and quite frankly, doubt that I will. I am still confused about the whole business but as I stated above, Linda can explain. She's VERY nice and quite helpful. Hope this helps. I also just remembered...she mentioned the place she's actually at...Libertymeds or Liberty something. All I know about them is that they don't ship to Illinois. They may be the ones I refer to above as being more expensive. As I also said, it's very confusing to me but Linda's phone number will point you in the right direction.

I am going to try and have my remaining refills with them transferred to another pharmacy. I have two refills left, and I hate to let them go to waste.
Hopefully, I'll find out tomorrow whether or not this transfer attempt will be successful.
Wish Me Luck! (I'll post and let everyone know how well it went in a few days)

Please do.
Maybe the wonderful idea of junk mailing old ephy customers wasnt such a hot idea.

GREAT NEWS!!!!
They have started sending out refills again!!
I heard from a friend that they had called him Friday to see if he wanted his refill, so I decided to give it a shot. I submitted my refill through their automated system yesterday and got a call this morning asking how I wanted it shipped.
I know they have filled it b/c my checkcard was charged by them today.

Hello,
I haven't heard anything new on HPP.
Anyone have any new updates on them?
The site says that it's under construction.
Does this mean that they are gone?
If anyone has received any refills, for themselves, or from "friends" or "family"
Please post about it.

Hello Friends -
New to posting here, but have been reading for a long time, didn't think I had anything pertinent to add until now. I hope this is helpful!
I have been with HP for quit some time, always got great service, right on time, right count, good CS and friendly Doc etc.
HOWEVER - today I call for my refill, we got all that taken care of and it's on the way...then I asked if this was my last fill, she said "yes, this is your last one", I replied well, I'll be phoning for my consult next month, talk to you then" she said "no, we aren't going to do consults anymore, we are getting out of the pain management business". I was shocked! I asked her why she stated that it was due to people sending in fake medical records, they got audited and it just wasn't worth all they had to go through to keep prescribing - she went further to state that most of the patients were on the up and up but said "you can blame all the greedy folks and the ones who don't tell the truth" so of course I said "what do I do now? can you recommend anyone for me?" she did recommend a Doc and gave me his phone # but she did not know which pharmacy he uses. I'll check it out and let y'all know okay?
She was kind and apologetic (I always deal with the same person there *K) and she has always been really kind and helpful, I'll hate to loose the service I got from them.
This was my last fill as I said above - so I'm glad I'm at least getting that. She said they were going to honor all fills - BUT, if I had any more left with them as I'm sure some here do, I'd bee calling them to ask on your own behalf if they are going to honor your refills. You know it is possible they could be getting ready to go away all together. I'd hate to see anyone lose fills that are due to them, that just wouldn't be right. Their phone number is 813.889.9779.
Keep Irie

I'm sorry to hear that they're getting out of the OP business. I used them for a long time and always received good service (except for last month when they were having trouble b/c of that audit). And you sure couldn't beat their prices.
My last refill is due next week. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope all goes well (I'm sure it will, they're a good outfit)!

A friend of mine used Doctorsforpatients whom went through this pharmacy and he always said they were great, however this time he called and requested his refill and they said they are no longer refilling scripts writtern for Dr. Frank? I guess he is the Dr. whom wrote his script. They told him they are transferring scripts to another pharmacy: ASAP Pharmacy and the lady he spoke with said she would fax the script over or something do Dr. Frank and he should in turn transfer it to the new pharmacy, and as long as it is done before 1:00 PM then it should go out for delivery same day.
I do know however he called me a bit ago scared and upset that he has heard nothing couldn't get a hold of Doctorsforpatients and has no way of getting a hold of the new pharmacy and has no way of knowing whether or not he will receive hs last refill or what,....I can understand though, you start taking medications for a while and this kind of stuff can happen, I guess it's the price we pay for using OP's, you are never GUARANTEED of you medication.
I did wonder if they offered thier oqn service as well though becuase they sent him rather large packet of information to be signed and sent back and all sorts of stuff. he didn't sign it, and he continued to get his refills though.
I notice that DB now lists ASAP Pharmacy as the source used for DFP, however DFP website still lists Health Plan Pharmacy.
With this information from my good friend and now all this information, really makes me wonder what is going on? I told him not to hold his breath: Why whould a HealthPlanPharm employee get in touch with Dr. Frank so he could send the script to the NEW PHARMACY? Whats in it for her? (If they no longer work for this OP and thier scripts?...Then He called them today at the number listed and a fax picked up all day?....Now they have an answering service answering....But then again I am a pessimist...i really do not trust many OP's...It's a shame. I am afraid we are all going to be having troubles here soon...
At any rate: Has anybody heard of ASAP Pharmacy. I did a search on the net but to broad of name ASAP and Pharmacy are likely names that seem to go together quite a bit...
Does anybody have any relavant information or former DFP patients whom have had a script filled by ASAP Pharmacy?
