From Norco Worldwide

Hi Ladies and Gentlemen

Wow!! Look at the stuff that's hitting these boards, I think we need to put some perspective on all this don't you ??

Firstly, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Brian and I was, until Monday November 15th, acting in the capacity of General Manager at NWW to support, our then CEO, Chris.

The first thing that I want to do is to offer a categorical reassurance to all NWW members that we are most certainly:

a) Still in business

b) Determined to offer the very best service to our loyal friends and members

c) Keen to resolve any issues, questions or problems that you might have

d) Not going to let anybody down regarding their refills

OK, well having stated our objective, lets just have a look at what has been happening over the last forty eight hours.

And what has happened??? - Just this:

Chris, who has been the instigator of much of the content of NWW, handed in his resignation saying that he wanted to pursue a different career.

Well OK, I must admit that I first of all took the word 'different' to mean a career in a different field of activity but, the progress of events yesterday, and the content of the boards, showed me to be mistaken about that.

We must remember that there is always a risk at any company that a key member of staff, in this case the CEO, decides that he can do the same thing as he has been doing for one company, but this time, to his sole benefit. You can usually do nothing else in these circumstances other than put this down to experience and wish them well, providing that is, that they don't then try and destroy the company that gave them that original opportunity. That would clearly be most ungracious.

Chris served a valuable 'apprenticeship' at NWW and I am sure that he will put this to good use in his new endeavor.

By the way, did any of you realize that this is the second time that the CEO of Norco has left to 'do his own thing'. Let's be honest about this, it can only mean that they had such a great learning experience at NWW that they were able to go out there and try and copy the original format which, in its own way, is a compliment to the structure and stability of Norco Worldwide - Hey, people only ever want to copy the best, nobody ever went out there and replicated a failed business.

Anyway, that said, things have to move on and, as with any company that suddenly loses its CEO, we have had to regroup and we now rely on the remaining loyal bunch of guys and gals at NWW to ensure that our objectives are fulfilled.

Naturally, most of you will only be familiar with certain key names that appear on the boards and with whom you have had direct contact but, and this is a big but, these key names, like any 'starring actors', rely on the support of their fellow cast members and support crew. Do you remember the lyrics 'It must have been cold there in my shadow' ??? Well, please be aware that that there are a great number of hard working, unsung, loyal members of NWW staff working in the shadows of those better known names making them shine. They too deserve your votes of thanks.

Well, that's about it, I have said my piece and, please, if you have any questions, do let us know. I and my loyal colleagues will be available via the boards to answer any questions and we will try to clarify things to your satisfaction.

Whatever you decide to do, remember Norco Worldwide has been of enormous help and value to most of you and we have, in general, given you a first rate service. Yes, I know there have been exceptions, there is not a company in the world that has not made mistakes. Nevertheless, we have tried hard and we will continue to try and be the best.

Stick with us - we will earn your support.

Best Regards

Brian

Brian, thanks for coming on and telling everyone what went on since no one else was very forthcoming. I'm sure it's much appreciated by your customers.

When I left a company several years ago, they had me sign a non-compete agreement. I was a manager and they didn't want me taking whatever knowledge they felt I had to a competitor for a certain length of time. Since I was offered a generous severance package, it was fine for me. The couple of years passed, I got back in the same business and no harm was done. In the OP world however, it's obvious that there's no time like the present, since there may be no future. (Please, no flaming).

It's too bad that you couldn't have done the same, although as I stated above, I realize an OP is a slightly different beast than most businesses. Well, you're right about live & learn. Perhaps the next CEO should be given a slightly different role. I never did understand Chris acting in a CS capacity. If there was a critical CS issue, fine, but the day to day stuff can and should be handled by a well trained customer service rep. In fact, CSR training was part of my current occupation before ahem, being promoted. And, no, I'm not applying for the position.

I personally think the forum isn't a very good idea, just my nickels worth. Something about that old cliche of airing dirty laundry. FWIW, you may want to reconsider even having it. A well designed site should take care of what, I believe, should be private business between a customer, the physician and the pharmacy.

Best of luck to you and good luck in the hiring process.

I am brand new to NWW, just received my meds after a 4-5 day total mail in records to recieving product- very satisifed. In my wall st career, KEY people always left everywhere to make more$-get more power- whatever...and with few exceptions- well run companies just keep moving along. Key complaint on these boards is customer service-phone wait time. I didn't have that problem- but you might want to investigate that. Other compaints were nit-picky and will happen to any business in any field-no one is perfect. Hand-holding can't be underestimated as I think OP business is growing at a rapid rate despite DEA best efforts- keep this in mind, sir- and you'll remain the gold standard.

This really has nothing to do with medicine. However because of what I do, I would strongly suggest that the use of first and last nanes is a big NO NO. This is especially
true if you are involved with an OP! Takes about 5 minutes
to connect the dots.People who abuse drugs will take any chance they get to get those drugs. " whos at the front door?" >>>>>>>>>>>>YOUR TRUE PAL, NEON

I think it is ridiculous that the President of a ROP can't or shouldn't reveal his true name. There is nothing illegal about what he does!!! I think it is something to be proud of - helping those who LEGITIMATELY need pain or anxiety relief. WE CLIENTS. on the other hand, hide our names because society would judge us as addicts or junkies. We could find our careers destroyed. THAT is the shame of the matter. For some of us, being limited to Hydro is absurd, but when the doctors suggest MOTRIN what alternative. For the good of the OP world, I hope the ROP are careful about the records they take. One really loose ROP could wreak havoc on to what to many of us is a last resort. I believe that NROPs do have many, but certainly NOT ALL, legitimate clients- but both those who sell/buy there are at the risk of LE. all right- flame me!!!

Well, time will tell won't it? I don't think DB wants the new site mentioned here...yet, anyway? At least the NWW forum now is so much better, open and seemingly honest. Quite a refreshing change! ruderick, you may want to see results before posting an overly rosy picture of the new OP. Good luck to you.

I think you may have missed Neon's point. What he said about posting your real first and last name had nothing to do with legalities involved...I think he meant it more for personal safety concerns for Brian. There are plenty of nuts on the internet, and knowing that this man is in the 'drug' business, albeit legally, could possibly give a nut some ideas about ways to possibly 'score' some drugs...at least that's what I gleaned from what he wrote. I agree with you, though, that he is obviously a legitimate businessman, and has nothing to be ashamed of. As a CPer, I am glad he is around...
