DB: What is with all the pop ups?
      #180425 - 08/15/04 07:37 AM

Dear DB.
I love your forms and all the great info but,EVERY TIME I come here I get pop up after pop ups about PENIS enlargements, PENIS pills, nothing else but PENIS stuff! I don't know what the problem is but
I am 100% women and I really don't need that kinda stuff. So can you put a lid on it?
Thanks.
-Pam
P.S. I hope I entered this post in the right place.

Drugbuyers comments: Rest assured it is not something we do. We do not put pop ups and do not advertise those "get bigger" pills. I have no idea why you get those pop ups when you visit our site. I am also here a lot, have no pop up blockers, and never see any. There must be something in you PC that serves those ads according to what you type in you browser. In any case, even if it is not our fault, it would be nice to know more so we can find a solution.

I highly recommend Norton Internet Security, especially if you are on a cable connection.

Among other things, it eliminates virtually all pop-up ads.

Save your money and download the free Google toolbar that eliminates all popups and use Mozilla Firefox web browser and disable popups. Both free and both are very good.

I use yahoo as my homepage and it blocks every pop up.

Thank you Misspiggy! I will try that too. I don't understand the pop ups I'm getting, they are all penis ones. It would make sense if the pop ups were of different products, but like I said its only about a wiener thing? Strange! Also, you know when you "X" out of the pop up and get 20 more? Its only about penis
Stay pain free my friends.

:-)
We hate pop up ads too!
We do not know why you are bombarded with them. We only know it is not us

We are not responsible for your pop ups, we do not put them.
We do not use them at all.

Maybe it is your ISP... or you have some software in your PC (Kazza, Emule, Gator, Screensaver, or others) that displays them.

We suggest you perform a spyware sweep. Spyware and adware software can sit quietly in the background and track your movements, redirect your Web browser, and even log keystrokes or harvest financial data from your PC's hard drive. Use Lavasoft Ad-Aware or Spybot Search & Destroy to find and knock out known spyware and adware components on your PC.

Drugbuyers.com can not be blamed on this.

And just in case: we have nothing to do with those "get bigger" ads

We do not spam.
From time to time we send PM's and that is it.

Request to those being bothered by pop ups: please post more information about your ISP, your browser, the software you have installed in your system. Do you have Kazaa, Emule, Gator, extra search windows in you browser, free phone soft, instant messages, free screensavers?
Would be nice to find a solution. Please rest assured drugbuyers.com is not the problem :-)

I never get any pop ups when coming here to DB. The above steps will help greatly. Google free toolbar works great along with Nortons. I would also highly reccomend two more quick downloads (they are available @CNET.com), the first is Adaware, if your getting popups then your hard drive is full of adware "data miners" that follow your every move. The second is called Spybot and it also eliminates all of the spy ware that is also infiltrated your hard drive, these send info back to advertisers, web sites, etc as to where you go on the net. They are both free, both highly recomended and in conjunction with a good fire wall (a must) will help your browsing the net become easier and more secure. I have also just installed a program called Evidence Blaster that erases all of your tracks after your online browsing. If anyone would like any help in these downloads or more info, please feel free to pm me.

I don't want to sound accusatory, but popups are usually generated by spyware on your hard drive that records the kind of sites that you go to and then targets you with advertisements using that information.

Like the video, very nice. I also noticed some new changes on the site. You folks run a great board and by far the best one as far as info and resources. I am however having a few minor problems with the new format, perhaps it is my firewall, not sure. For instance when I go to posts for the last 24 hours, I can read the first one then hit my back browser and cannot access the 24 hour listing again. I also noticed you cannot view posts unless you log in, which is nice becuase it makes lurkers have to register. Other then that, so glad I found this board and thanks for all your hard work. I plan on joining the VIP shortly as I would recommend everyone does. I know the costs involved with running a smooth site such as this, two thumbs way up!!!

Thanks for the extra info everyone about the software suggestions. Thanks DB for all the info.
I washed my cookies and ran spyware and it worked!
