I was wondering if hydro comes in time release capsules? I ordered non-time release (to my knowledge) from one of the NROPs on here and have reason to think they may have sent me time release capsules without telling me. I don't want to go into detail on the board, but I will if you PM me.

To my knowledge nobody makes time-released hydrocodone.They do make a liquid hydro and it works well

At one time, there was talk of a time-release hydrocodone product...something similar to OxyContin. But I never heard anything more about it. Don't know if it was just a rumor or if one of the drug companies was actually considering it (perhaps still is?)
As the other posters stated, there is no such product at this time.

Good timing - I was just PM'ing someone about this issue a few days ago. I asked my doctor about 3 days ago if hydro made a time release. He said, very specifically, NO. Unfortunately, we agree that regular lortab works great, but they should make it a time release. Right now I take oxy ER, but it doesn't work as well as quick lortab. Sucks have to take more often. If they ever make a time release, I'll be first in line!!

MadisonPainClinic.com has been offering a custom compounded, extended release hydrocodone for a few months now with good results reported by many who have tried it.

I've tended the computers and web sites for Madison Pain Clinic since opening in August, 2001.

thats pretty misleading to say its extended release hydrocodone. all they do is add 10mg of dxm to each pill and claim that that will make the hydro release slower. anyone can do this themselves by buying a cough syrup containing dxm and measuring out the same dose. i still wouldn't call it time-released hydro though...

You are correct efffbeee in that dxm is used.
As for misleading? I saw a question and offered an answer.
No intent nor need to mis-lead anyone.

I never knew about efforts to create a "time-released" hydrocodone but it makes a lot of sense. The problem is that abusers would do the same thing they do with oxycontin. I also never knew DXM helped with the release rate of medication. I have heard that nexium or pepcid AC type drugs can slow the hydro absorbtion rate. This can be beneficial to those with inadequate supply. Good luck with your pain control.

well i was referring to the site being misleading, not you personally. the effect has to do with dxm inhibiting a certain enzyme that also is used by hydrocodone. its misleading in the sense that its not truly timed-release like oxycontin or ms-contin, they just add another drug that interacts with hydro.

i understood it that the dxm "enhanced" the effect of the hydro, now it's being said that it makes it time released of sorts, wouldn't that be two different results? So which is it? I tried some cough syrup once with it and it did seem to help but it tasted so bad that I couldn't make myself doing it again, keep meaning to get some of the pills but haven't gotten around to it yet, will make a point of it tomorrow though if it really makes a big difference, what exactly if the effect that pepsid(sp)has and it that prescription only?

there are many ways to enhance the effects of opiates. the best reference for this information can be located at;

i think you will find it very helpful, but be careful, there are always risks involved. my fav potentiator personally, is soma, but to each his own.
feel free to PM if you have questions,
best to all,
