ups pick-up from hub?
      #199593 - 11/11/04 02:02 PM

I see alot of posts about picking up ups packages from a "hub" in your local area. How do you go about doing this if you can't be home to sign for ups?

If UPS leaves you a note that they tried to deliver a package that needs to be signed for, you can call UPS (the number is on the slip) and arrange to pick it up at "the hub". This means going down to where the trucks are, depending on where you live, a large building or a small one. You sign for your package and that's it. This is for anything that needs a signature. This is not anything to do with meds, just standard UPS procedure. Fedex is same way.

Try addressing shipments directly to your local UPS hub so they'll be held there for you automatically. Not only does it save you the extra step of phoning CS to have the package placed on hold, but there's also the added bonus of being able to pick it up as soon as the hub opens. In my case that means I can get my meds almost 6 hours sooner. It also saves me a couple of bucks because I use UPS Next Day Air Saver which gets it to the hub just as fast as the next step up in overnight delivery options.

Best way is to address them to the UPS hub. I've been told by OP's to do this if you can't be home to pick up.
