Didrex Alternative???
      #199021 - 11/08/04 09:17 PM

Hey Everyone,

I have taken the Weight Loss Med Didrex in the past and it is great. It works great as a waker upper also. My question to you is, is there any other med that is similar in effect to the med Didrex. I have heard that there is another weight loss med that has the same effects but I dont know what it is called. The didrex is just getting so expensive.

Thank you so much,

Mb

Bontril 35mg - (Phendimetrazine)

Tenuate 25 mg

These are the fast acting versions. They both also come in sustained release dosages. Phentermine 37.5mg is also good (for me at least).

I agree with dillybubbles. Except the Bontril - I've never taken that one.

Do yourself a favor and don't take amphetamines or related substances for more than a couple of months. That stuff can ruin your heart, increase blood pressure and with sustained use cause a stroke.

While I wouldn't go as far as to say that diet pills are "amphetamines" they are chemically related. There isn't a lot of benefit for taking diet pills for more than a couple weeks at a time due to your tolerance building up quickly. Anyone taking diet pills should also be monitoring their blood pressure regularly and be familiar with the adverse side effects associated with them....

It also comes down to the benefit outweighing the risk. For people that are seriously obese, the risks associated with their obesity may outweigh the risks of taking the diet pills...

It just comes down to good 'ol fashioned common sense...

Honestly, for me NOTHING comes close to Didrex. I have lossed more weight on Didrex than on anything else I have been prescribed. I didnt notice a problem with my tolerance geting too high either, it seemed rather the same for the months I was prescribed it.

For anyone expecting a drug test: It should be noted that one will test positive for meth when taking Didrex. (look it up)
