How come after I make a post or change pages I'm viewing, I often get an error message that says I can't view and to check back later? I can't remember the exact wording of it, and I'm afraid to click somewhere for fear of it coming up again. I must get it 75% of the time. Is it a bandwidth problem, something else, or just me?

Since the new format I am sure there is still more tweaking going on to fix the problems. Being a lurker and now a poster over the last six months, it is nice to know that they are always trying to update and make this site better. When you get the error message just keep rehitting the post and you will eventually get back to the page you want. But I am sure that running on a tight budget to keep this place going means alot of free work and time on the adminstrators and mods part.

Not sure what you mean but if it is the same problem mentioned by "moonshade" we have an explanation. Please rest assured that we do like our visitors :-)
After the upgrade we set the free board in such a way that members can search only one time every 30 seconds
Please try to use the "Back" button on you browser instead of making a new search. There is no need to perform a new search to see the same results. Please use the "Back" button on your browser for that. We think that if you make a search you will spend at least 30 seconds looking at the results.
When you press "Recent Post: Past 24 Hours · Past 48 Hours · Past Week" you perform a search. That takes a heavy toll in our server and more so if someone decides to abuse the option by click, click, click, clicking on them for hours.
It is not something that happens more ofter on certain days. It only happens when you do not wait 30 seconds to perform a new search.
Please try to press the back button on your browser intead of repeating your search... and post your comments.

For me personally- I am used to zipping around on my cable modem. 
I think members using cable ISP will find this more of an issue than dial-up or DSL.
Yes, I tried the BACK button- and that seems to work every time. Also, I waited 30 seconds, and yes, that seems to be the magic number for a new search ! Thks.

Thank heaven! It was really beginning to annoy me when I couldn't figure out what the heck I was doing. Started thinking you could only read a page at a time until you had 200 posts or something!
Back buttons. I can do those.

I know what you mean. I am zipping along too with my cable modem and I have problems like this one. But using the back button works. I have no patience so it's annoying at times but very workable. I need my own T-3..lol lol lol
