I have anthem insurance and my local doc wont prescribe anything. No benzo or hydro. My record op has no problem doing this. I hate that I have to pay these prices when I have great health insurance. I dont mind paying 50 bucks for a consult or even a 100. for three refils. It would cost me that much to take off of work. The problem is the 100 bucks for the meds that would cost me 10 bucks with my insurance. Any help would be appreciated.
Health Plan Pharmacy might accept your insurance plan. I don't know for sure b/c my health insurance will only cover prescriptions that are filled at the university's pharmacy.
They require you to fill out a bunch a forms which are similar to the forms you have to fill out when you are a new patient at a regular doctor's office. There is a field on one of their forms that ask you for your health insurance info. However, I'm not sure if they really accept it. You would need to call them and ask them if they will accept your plan. You can find their phone number at healthplanpharmacy.com
