I read somewhere that someone successfully used DXM to counter the effects of withdrawl. Spent a few hours last night reading articles on DXM and found this website.
The one article in particular is about Grapefruit juice inhibiiting an enzyme that destroys DXM in the gut and allows more DXM to work than without grapefruit juice. Article says the same enzyme works to destory opiods. Like someone here to read and report feedback.

I actually responded with this info in a post you made earlier in the day, so it could only help to READ responses to your posts before posting again with basically the same question. But:
Info about this is ALL OVER THE BOARDS. Look on the tolerance threads; grapefruit juice inhibits CYP3A4, which inactivates hydro. It helps, yes, but only drink grapefruit juice made from concentrate (most bottles meet this distinction) because they use the skins, which contain more CYP3A4 inhibitor. All this and much, much more can be found on the boards.

Hi JBRONCFAN,,, that was an interesting site you posted, a more thorough view of this topic. It included not only the 'grapefruit' 'skin' and concentrate that wickednoah mentioned, but even deeper information all around.
Thanks!

The paper is published in an obscure journal, it says nothing new about CYP3A4 inhibition, and if you want more info on how to possibly reduce tolerance and boost the effects of hydro, quit being a pseudoscientist by looking at articles like this that real researchers have never even heard of and do some real research. In particular, search for the first 10-20 posts by Timberland - somewhere in July. In it, he posts info on the opioid-histamine connection and how to use to to your advantage. The opioid system directly uses histamine, for instance.
Don't think that this paper is "in-depth". It's a paper in a very small journal by a small lab.

Noone is trying to be a pseudoscientist, no let me rephrase that, I'm not trying to be. I appreciate any and all information given here. I didn't say the 'journal' was large, but the information extended and it compacted alot of information that I would have to 'search and search' for here, that's all. You are very passionate about this I see, but all in all for me, I like to learn and if it's found in one 'article' that's even better:)
