Yeah, I know the whole Vioxx pulled from shelves thing. That effects the hearts of people who take vioxx for a very long period of time. I'm without my meds until Tuesday and it's been a few days without 'em and my legs are cramping. The only thing that ever helped was vioxx. The reason I ask my question is that later today a kind friend of mine MIGHT be bringing me some hyrdo to get me by until Tuesday. Will vioxx interfere with the hydro or help it along?
My question is - why are you still taking Vioxx? I understand that it's difficult to have to give up a medication that actually relieved your pain even if is found to have life threatening side effects, but you're not going to be able to get it in the future. What's causing your leg cramps? Have you tried the similar drugs - Celebrex, Bextra, Mobic??
I take Mobic and hydro and one has no effect on the other in my opinion. Pharmacologically I don't know the answer to your question, just have my own experience to draw from.
I hope you get some relief soon and, really, consider trying another anti-inflammatory med. Eventually you won't be able to get Vioxx and then what will you do? Just concerned.
Just have some old vioxx laying around. I have a friend who I just found out gets Mobic, seems to be in the same class as vioxx. You said no difference was made taking the mobic with the hydro?
