I got a PM from Drugbuyers that was a spam message promoting something or other. Is this normal to receive spams in your PM from the administrator?

being there is also a post bout why they need VIP support etc. I guess there is not enuf VIP members and they are having to do this to help keep the board alive. I can tolerate some DB coordinated PM's to keep the board I love up & running.

This is not SPAM. SPAM is something you can not stop :-)
You have the option to turn off PM's, you can choose not to receive mass PM's, and you can always ask us to delete your account :-)
We try to bother as little as we can.
This was an offer with a nice discount. We send news, and offers, from time to time. Not very often :-) and always as per our terms of use. You registered on 09/17/04 and this is the first PM of this kind you receive. We do not think we are overdoing it.
Best wishes

With the valuble information here on this FREE BOARD, they can PM me 20 times a day if they want. As long as this service stays here it's well worth an occasional pm about an offer. Not to mention you can turn off PM notifications if you don't want to recieve them.

I appear to be overruled. My apologies. Far be it for me to impede the majority. I would also hope that administration here also respects the majority and reviews the polls sections and respects the majority's votes for guidance.
All the best
