Benzo's & heat?
      #196957 - 10/29/04 11:08 AM

I know you need to keep benzodiazapams dry & out of the heat. I assume then that dissolving any benzo in a cup of hot tea will completely destroy its effectiveness?

Degradation is a time related process. Probably would be effective for a while and then degrade. I have no idea how fast. Give it a try.

Ativan/lorazpam has little taste, sweetish. I know this is an odd question, but I have an odd (best kept off the board)reason.

You are correct. As with many drugs, heat degrades the effectiveness.
