I had epidural and it helped. I had some problems with it. About 2 hours after ward I started vomiting. Ithought it was a spinal headach coming on so I tried to drink tea. they recomed caffine for spinal headacs. I never did get a head ach but the next day I was so dizzy that I could not drive. when I laid down I felt the bed spin this lasted about 24 hours after the vomiting.
The doctor thinks the medication in the epidural caused fluid to travel out of my inner ear then when the levels droped the fluid returned.
Has this ever happend to any one? is it true about the fluid shift?
thanks for imput. Iwant to know if I should aviod anymore epidurals. as they do help me

I sure hope that the epidural helped to relieve your pain for a substantial period of time .. especially if you have to withstand vomiting after each one.
I did have a headache afterwards that lasted through the next day. The epidural did not produce any relief at all. The procedure itself was very painful .. probably not done properly.
For you, however, I wouldnt discount getting another epidural. For the individuals helped from this procedure, it's a wonderful treatment, even if there is some vomiting involved. Before your next one, if you decide to have it, definitely tell someone about your experience.. especially the individual who is actually giving you the epidural. There may be something they can give you to help with the nausea.
Best of Luck to You, and it's good to hear that this procedure can be beneficial in relieving pain.
