Someone else posted my sentiments exactly to t.oshan2003: there's always an instigator in every bunch and they thrive on keeping the drama going.

WHAT A TRIP!!!
It turns out that stevesmith and myself live within two hours of each other! How's that for a small world?
That's good to know. I'm debating whether I should drive up there and hug him for all the kind words he's shared about me. He certainly didn't have to.
This all just proves that making up is much more exciting than fighting.

Only thing I've experienced even close was when my PCP wrote a prescription that the insurance card company told the pharmacy they would not pay for another refill until 5 more days. Those insurance companies share large databases.

I recently discovered the advantages of unshared prescription info between states. I had a prescription with four refills from Chicago. I had one refill left. I took the original bottle (that said 4 refills) to a CVS in Virginia, and they gave me a bottle with three refills on it. I have already used another. This is great. I thought I would need another doctor's visit, but instead I got three more months of medication. Now I regret that I did not keep some of my original bottles. I will start doing that from now on. It is not dishonest, just bring in the first bottle and ask for a refill. I just hope VA and IL do not start talking.

Boy I have to agree wit 4U2NV that there is a lot of hate on this board. I don't want to pull out names, and for what it's worth I did answer this post on the VIP board when you posted it there.
Anyway I think it's important that people on both sides of the board know that currently there is NOT a national database, in spite of what some people are saying.
Often times what people post is pure conjecture and opinion, and that's what has happened here. If you look at the DEA Diversion website you'll find that as of yet there are only statewide databases for Rx's written by your doctor, HOWEVER your insurance is a different story.
The insurance company would be the first one I'd look at (while I know it may not be the case for you, it is for most people). Often times people don't even realize that most pharmacies will keep your insurance card on file unless you specify otherwise. If it goes into a chain like CVS or Walgreens they will have it throughout the chain, hence they have easy access to your insurance information whether you want it filed with them or not.
Here's the deal, if you don't want an RX filed with your insurance, YOU MUST NOTIFY the pharmacy when you hand them the script. Even then if it's a pharmacy that has had your insurance in the past they'll often ignore your request, and I always try to stay away from chain pharmacies like Walgreens and CVS anyway (most of the pharmacists there think they're doctor's).
So my point is this, there are several ways they could've found out about your other prescription, but knowing and keeping records will help you keep your Rx's in line, and possibly out of trouble.
Goodluck,
Colby

Steve and Susie are right... Not only is it illegal, but will put you in jail for sure if ever caught. Thats in the same category as RX fraud. I mean, if your going to do it, at least keep quiet about it. You only hurt yourself when you go public about stuff like this. Just my 2 cents.
