When i come back to this forum i am already logged in, i dont know if it uses a cookie to auto-log me in or if it thought i was still online because i never pressed Log-Out before closing the browser. i think its the latter. always remember to press Logout before you leave this site so that it doesnt show you online when you really arent.

Under the space where you log in, you probably at one time checked the option to 'remember me'. It makes logging in a lot faster and easier to me.

Most sites have that, just be careful which sites you check that on.

Be especially careful if you are using a public access computer -- in case you forget to log out someone else may well be able to use your account, in fact to "hijack" it after changing the password. With DB that's the case, if you do not log out each and every time, but you just close the browser, someone else can easily access your account. Alternatively, you may want to clear the cookies each and every time, so that even if you forget to log out there will not be possible for someone else to use your account.

My friend was using a public access computer at a local racetrack .After he checked on something on "Ebay" he was bidding on and then looked at his "My Ebay" section where he had to log in listen what happened. He even logged out of the Ebay account but some kids still got access and he goes home and a couple days later he gets all these e-mails saying "You are the winning bidder and owe X amount of dollars" etc. etc. And I mean a lot of items he realized it was kids because he is 40 years old and all the bids were for teenager type CD'S and toys and games. What a mess that was for him and how long it took to finally clear up everything. So I highly agree, be CAREFUL  !
