I believe it would be best to go to a dr. rather than ask our opinion. In fact, my opinion is GO TO A DR.

Sitting is the very worst thing a person with back problems can do.
I have a very hard time sitting through a movie at the theater and an even harder time in poor theater seats. I have to move around a lot.
However, I would have to agree with the above poster and suggest you go see your doctor and tell him about it.

I was hit by a truck when I was 7 & in a coma for 2+ months. my back always hurt here and there growing up. I never thought anything bout it. then got a little odler gained a littl weight and it started hurting more often. then hurt myself on a job 2 years ago. I've never really goen to a DR. bout my back b/c of the small town I am in and I am only 24 they think you just trying to get dope. I do however go to a chiropractor when i can spare the money & have been fortunate enough that the ROPS accept my chiropractor records. My spine is all twisted from the truck hitting me and there's things grinding he said. I have been excersising alot which made it hurt rela bad for a whiel then lost 35 pounds got in better shape and it wasnt hurting as bad, now it is back to hurting and hurts in legs too + my arms and hands falling asleep when I sit. I have no insurance, I guess I'll have to go spend the loot and hope I find a compassionate dr. thanx for everyone's input thusfar I welcome anymore input

I totally understand your fear about seeing your Dr. because of perception. But rather than going in and asking for meds, go in and tell him where you hurt, how often, how long it's been going on, how bad it hurts, etc. And then ask- no, TELL him sternly you want an MRI and an EMG and x-rays. Chiro's will tell you one thing, but they don't do an MRI and as such, don't see what is on one. I had various chiro's telling me I had muscle problems in my lower back for years and then it was "subluxation" which is all neat nstuf, but when I got my MRI done by the Ortho surgeon, it was as if somebody was finally acknowleding this wasn't in my head- I had documentation to PROVE I had real problems that sit-ups weren't going to fix
Sometimes just knowing gives you peace of mind you wouldn't otherwise get.

yeah I hear ya bout CHIROS, they're even a step below a dentist lol a dentist cna at least write scripts. in my opinion though the CHIROS got the cake job. my PSYCH had me on all kindsa stuff for years. on my own I quit the meds and started self medicating with Valium. it worked. I finaly walked in and told the PSYCH straight up Valium works for me, had a list of the things it helped me with in my daily life ect. I told him I had been getting them off the net and was gonan continue to get them unless he woudl prescribe them to me so that I coudl at least ahve a real local 1 on 1 situation with them. He was kinda taken back for a second and was like "ok, how many you think you need a month?" walked out wiht a script. I had to stand up for myself. I only felt comfortable doing this though with him b/c he is an old family-friend so I knew he woudl believe me or at least take me soemwhat seriously. I dont have any family friend regular Dr's ya know, just that one PSYCH doc.
there's no tellin how much MRI and EMG gonna cost. I dont have any insurance.
