I've read a lot of posts and it seems most places are not delivering. Most say the hurricane devastated them. Which is a huge possibility. Even where I live people lost their homes, business'and other things. So, I can't imagine further south where the most damage was done. Having said that I also wonder if companies are laying low due to what happened to Ken's Drugs. Aren't they located in the thick of things? But then I have a friend that ordered from a records op and she received her order in two days. (Online-scripts.com) Knowing that,it's a little hard to believe it's just the weather. What do you think?

CuriousDee:
Without evidence to support the thought,I suspect this is all part of the ebb and flow that defines the business.
the Ken Drugs problem doesn't sound unique.I suspect more and less significant raids have occurred for years.
Perhaps, this is just wishful thinking though similar approaches to worrisome times have served me well.

Seems to me that we're going thru another transition period... at least once every year or so there seems to be a shakeup among both US OPs and IOPs where everyone you considered reliable disappear and then the scramble is on to find the next best thing. Give it a little time (easy to say when you have plenty of meds, but if not...) and it will most likely shake itself out again and things will return to (ab)normal as usual. Over the past 10ish years i've seen this happen so many times. You work to find a small group of sites that you know you can count on, and you use them exclusively. Then suddenly *something* happens and they all disappear. It's a P.I.T.A. but it's fairly normal. Every time it seems the end has come but give it a few weeks and new places pop up to replace the old. I guess it's the old supply/demand issue.... so far they've always recovered but you never know.
Good luck to all...

You also have to consider the possibilities of who's afraid to operated during scrutiny b/c of questionable practices and who's not. I'm certainly not accusing any company of anything, I'm just throwing a possibility out there.

No they're not laying low. Just reinventing themselves.
Dee, I suspect you already know the name of the place before I type this.

Also notice that a few times, there have been posts by those who are new users, and those posts suggest a new non rec OP that is slightly better prices than, say, jetsrex, or whatnot.

What are the names the new nr cod ops using? I've just ordered from Jetsrx but when time comes to re-order I don't want to get smacked in the face with the costs. If you'd rather you can private e-mail any info. you have.
Thanks.

A quick question, and please dont take this the wrong way.
I have spent a lot of time thinking about how the DEA and officers continue to harass legimate and some close to legimate OPS causing us to scramble for new places. But it never stops us.
Sooner or later the Law will have to come to the conclusion that what they are doing isnt working.
So what would they do next?
Of course, what every says they would never do.
Go after us.
As soon as 2 or 3 or 5 or 10 posts on the boards start popping up about legimate patients getting harrassed, or even arrested for being in one to many databases, OP patients will start to hide, or go elsewhere.
This will cause the demand for OPS to go down, and then eventually the whole system will crash on itself.
Frightening, isnt it?
Just my rambling morning thoughts.

You're right it is very frightening! I hate to think that the days of nr ops is coming to an end but it does seem like it now maybe happening. I remember reading approx. 1 year ago a poster stating this was bound to happen and that everyone who planned on ordering on-line needed to get their paper work from their doctor. Luckily I had mine at the time but it's been over a year since I've been back to my doc.
However, it is actually cheaper for me to order the 1 med. I use on line than it is to go to the doctor's office, and then to a local pharmacy. Why? A lot ask.... Because right now I am self employeed and I don't have insurance. So I depend on the nr ops or else I'd be out over $200.00 or more for just a visit and presc. with possibly 3 or 4 refills for 1 year! I do not agree with d.ding (no flames please!) and I know there are some who do but that isn't the reason I order from nr ops. I used a records required op once and their consultation price + the cost of the meds., not to mention shipping was just as high as if I'd gone straight to a private phy.
I hope this mess with the nr ops either straightens out soon or that we get some straight answers as to why this happened (and so quickly) and what are we to do next.
