Just received my first love letter. It gave me two options - to forfeit - check off that box - or to try and contest - did NOT check off that box - and sign my name and return which I did - with a note that website stated this was legal (order was for Valium). OK - at the end of love letter it says - future orders/seizures of controlled substances may result in significant fines or arrest. My question and worry is:
Last March ordered 90 Valium from Trusted meds - never arrived - they reshipped in April - that also never arrived - got money refunded - never heard a word from customs. Decided to stop ordering as I became concerned these just might have been seized. Then became "brave" again in July and ordered 50 from another website. Letter arrived today Sept 30th stating that seizure took place Sept 24th in Miami ( I am in NYC) and was for 100 Diazepam - none of these orders was for 100. Do you think that this was for the LAST order I placed in July - or for the ones placed last spring that never arrived - how long does it take these people to cough up the seizure letters. If for the one in July am not worried - because only order now from a place that ships domestically. However, if for one of the orders in the spring - then there is the outstanding order in July that never arrived and I am scared to death another one will come in 3 months for that and the DEA will knock on my door and take me away - I know - mind is running away with me.
Any opinions about this would be greatly appreciated.........

Well, first of all, you should definitely not have signed and returned the seizure notice. Believe me, nothing good could ever come to anybody for doing that. But that doesn't mean you should worry. I wouldn't. I've been extremely lucky, and only had one seizure in five years. A relative of mine signed and returned a 'love letter' and never heard a thing after that.
About when the seizure was from, it's hard to say. Three months after I got my notice, I received another thing listing several different meds with my order, none of which was ordered by me Customs really isn't the most organized place

Haven't mailed it yet - r u saying I should just ignore it - believe me - I have had NO experience with this type of thing and I am a total wreck!!!!!!!!!

Oh, good. Seriousely, just tear it into little pieces or shred it and trash it. There's no way the Best if kept off the board gub'ment will mess with you less if you do send it. You'll just willfully incriminate yourself for no real reason. And don't worry, really. Nobody is going to come after you for 100 v's. The only thing you may want to consider is useing a different mailing address for future IOP orders.

Relax and ignore it, nothing will ever come of it! I had a run of bad luck and got two love letters in two weeks, and they where all for schedule II's (pure codeine), never did anything, never heard anything more of it. In 4 years, have had about 5 seizures. Now, if you ordered 500 tabs of oxycontin, then maybe you may get a scary letter from the DEA or a visit, just play stupid, (what order??, what is oxycontin??, this is a joke right??,etc.)Never admit to ordering anything. I promise you you have NOTHING to worry about, and do nothing, just don't order from that site again. All the seizures I've ever had have been when I tried a differant site/source. I find once I can get my orders from a source/site and they get thru fine, never have a problem with future orders. Just depends on where it goes thru customs, I can tell you, dallas/Ft. Worth are the worst, 4 outa 5 of the seizures have been there, then one from LA. Like I said, you have absolutely nothing to worry about, count your losses, find a site that can deliver. Take care!

This is really strange. No, I think I prefer the word "bizarre" to describe the feeling. And... scary. I happened to come across the "Customs Sample Confiscation Letters" thread in the "How to order meds online" section. Haven´t really paid this much attention to it before and was actually almost relieved at the not too harsh wording in the letters; didn´t read through all of them but at one point for instance there was this phrase: "If you fail to respond to this letter in the 30-day period, the controlled substances will be forfeited to the United States Government and the case will be considered close."
Then, 30 minutes later, the mailman dropped the bomb - actually two of them. First time for me. I live in a supposedly liberal country but what I got didn´t make me a happy man. I´m suspected of smuggling and asked to contact local customs immediately. The sweet sheet is signed by a prosecutor.
How does that sound to you? I mean does it sound more serious than the average US love letter for confiscated benzos? (About 100 tabs all in all.)
What to do?

Thanks a lot for your support Yerbie - I am starting to relax a little - yesterday thought I would just fall over and die.
Am taking the advice of you more "experienced" people in these matters and just doing NOTHING...
Question - how long between seizure - say meds were ordered in March and were seized - does it take for Customs to get around to sending these letters???

God - I don't know what to tell you - that would really scare me more than I am scared now......
I always thought Europe was much more liberal than this country...
Smuggling 100 Valiums - that's ridiculous - no one would smuggle 100 - 1000 maybe - you will get off I am certain - just meant to scare the u know what out of you - and I am sure it succeeded.......

For many years i have ordered from iop"s. I have received several letters from customs. Nothing ever happened. No visit from the dea or any law enforcement. My thoughts unless your are ordering large amounts for resale. You will never have to worry.. Good Luck.... Wcs
