On most hydrocodone summaries one is instructed to tell their doctor and/or "use with caution" if they have certain other conditions, hypothyroidism being one of them. I have never been able to find out any more about this possible contraindication (tho I can't imagine it being a disqualifier as underactive thyroid is such a common condition) and was wondering if anyone here had any ideas on the significance of taking hydro when you're hypo (thyroid that is)?.
You should tell the doctor who is prescribing the meds that you have this condition before you take the meds. My mother is hypo also and she can't take hardly any meds even for a cold because of it.
