I've noticed that the VIP and FREE boards are seperate pages. There's so much valuable info on both, but having to logout as a VIP to view the free boards is a pain. Could you combine the boards but keep the 'extra' VIP stuff (like discounts and whatever else makes one a VIP) exclusive. It's also gave me much confusion once I subscribed - where were all of my and all the other people's posts.
This would make info retrieval (that's the main function of DB, yes?) so much easier.

As others will surely point out as well, the freeboards and the VIP boards are very different places. I do not agree that they need to be merged.
The ovbious difference is that VIP is a restricted-access board, available only to paying members. DB Admin has suggested that the membership fees from VIP members goes a long way to financially supporting the Freeboard.
And really, jbnugget, if you are active on both boards you have surely noticed the difference by now?

If you have automatic login it is no big deal to log off and on between them. I like that they are separate and I think they should be. The VIP people pay for that privelege and it should be for them. I guess if everyone paid for membership then there would be no need for a free board anymore and there could just be one board and the admin would not have to keep up with both of them, but unless everyone is willing to pay for VIP status then they will have to stay separate. And I think they should.

Exactly. Sometimes I just keep two browser pages open at the same time, one for VIP and one for the freeboards. So they can both be up on my screen at the same time, and I just click back and forth.
And by the way, I signed up for VIP at the same time I registered for the DB freeboards, and I have never been confused or had any trouble telling them apart!

I have to agree with the above posts. The argument of having to "log out" being a problem, is a pretty weak argument.

Besides, how would you keep the VIP members from getting spammed with "WIN A FREE CONSULT JOIN THE VIP. . ."type -pms. 0h, wait. ..

Thank You for the feedback. We can not merge the two Boards, we are sorry, if you were confused at first. We will try to make sure all new VIP users understand that the posts they have made on the Free Board remain there - and that at VIP Board they will have to start form zero.
