I am hoping to go back to London. I am presently prescribed 120 hydro 10's and also take one Avinza at 60 mgs as my main pain medication with the hydros for breakthough pain.
I was only one 30 hydro at 5/500 when I when in 1997. I bleive I read that Great Britian and a lot of the European countries will allow a tourist to bring in 90 hydros.
Is there a site that give information on the amount of medication that can be brought into a country for personal use?
Or does anyone know the limits of the number of hydro 10 that can be brought in?
I don't know for sure, but I think that with any prescription drug, as long as it's in the blister packs and you have a prescription with you to prove that the meds are 'officially' yours, you can probably bring in as many as you like (although don't just take my word for it). I doubt that you'll even get questioned, it's not as if you're trying to sneak in Heroin or Cocaine. You're talking about legal drugs and although they're not available here, it's not a crime to be in possesion of them. I'm sure you'll be fine but like I said, if you're really concerned, make sure you have proof that a Doctor has legally prescribed them for you.
England seems to be one of the more liberal countries according to another poster on another thread about which countires are most liberal in making narcotics and other controlled substances basically OTC.
But the two times that I have been to London, they did want to know what medications I was bringing in.
I read somewhere that England had a 90 limit on hydro's. When I went in 1997, I was taking just 30 a month. Now I take 120 but I hope to be down to at least 90 if I get to go next year.
