I know that paypal limit non-verified members (those who don't a bank account attached) to a $2000 spending limit.
But is this a permanent limit? Does that apply for life or something?
I'm a verified member now, and I have used my bank account for many paypal transactions, but I've used my CC for a lot of them, too. If my calculations are correct, I'm about $150 away from that $2000 limit. But times are hard. I have money in the bank, but it has very specific business to do. I need to use my CC for the Paypal transactions, if possible, and pay it off over the next few months over smaller increments. (I have some reather expensive meds I need to get this month).
You paypal experts, can you help me out?
Is their a limit (aside from the $1000/month) on CC transactions once you're verified? And how can I get a precise total of how much of that CC limit (if their is one) that I've used?
You rock. Thanks.

They change their policies often so anything someone says here may or may not be true, despite the person's best intentions. All the answers to your questions are somewhere on the PayPal web sites and they have a phone number posted somewhere.

I think it is a monthly limit but not for sure I know have spent way more than that in just a few months I use my card only here what it say on paypal
Quote:
PayPal's security process requires members to become Verified before sending more than the initial $2,000.00 USD Sending Limit which is granted at the time you add your credit card and complete the Expanded Use Process, if necessary.
The $2,000.00 USD sending limit is not a per-transaction limit. It is over the lifetime of your account, until your account becomes Verified.
This limit applies to all payments sent except those funded by PayPal Buyer Credit or the PayPal Providian Credit Card. If the payment is partially funded by PayPal Buyer Credit or the PayPal Providian Credit Card and partially by another funding source, the part funded by PayPal Buyer Credit or the Providian Credit Card will not count towards the sending limit, however, the amount funded by the other funding source will.
Once your limit is reached, further payments may not be sent until the limit is lifted.
To view further details of your sending limit, click 'View Limits' on the Account Overview page.
Please Note: This limit will carry over from one PayPal Account to another. All sending limits are denominated in U.S. Dollars. If payment is sent in a currency other than U.S. Dollars, the payment will reduce your sending limit by the U.S. Dollar equivalent.
so i think after you are Verified you do not have a limit anymore
hope this helps

Thanks, keeds. Your experience helps more than anything.
I couldn't for the life of me find atelephone number on that website . If there is one, I'm willing to bet there's no live human being on the other end.
But just knowing that it's possible to go on using the credit card interminably (which I will NOT be doing, nonono!!!!) is a relief. I just had a charge I needed to make that would put me about $80 bucks over $2000.
BTW, the *monthly* limit is $1000 dollars. But I'll just gnaw my own head off at the neck if it gets that bad.

Me bad. I'm pretty sure that you can only get to the page that shows a phone number if you have a Verified account that's been upgraded to accept credit card payments. They answered quickly, which was very surprising. I do remember that it was very hard to find that number and unfortunately didn't put it in my address book.

A verified account upgraded to accept credit card payments? Trampy, you know I'm a smart woman, but you've lost me here. I am verified. Are you referring to their nonsense "Paypal Visa/Mastercard" they keep trying to sell me everytime I log on and key in my password, trying to figure out which of my organs or other living tissue is/are still viable on the world market and can be put up for auction and sold without killing me in the process?
Or are you just saying that peepee is a PITA to navigate?

No, in order to receive money from credit card payments, you have to sign up for a special account and they take a small percentage out for their trouble. Hence, you get less money than was PP'd.

Ahhh, I get it. That's where you actually receive money using Paypal.
Yup, not familiar with this concept AT ALL. . .
