I have a persistent, dry sore throat. Anyone who takes hydro had to deal with that??
Thanks in advance.

I am a long time Hydro user and haver never had an overwhelming effects from them (at least none that I can't handle so far.) However, in the last 4 weeks my throat has been realy sore. Almost to the point where my glands are swollen enough to scare me (and that takes a lot). I don't know what the correlation is - maybe someout there knows. But it doesn't necessarily have to do at a time when you are trying to taper or cut off completely. I could be taking my meds like I should and still get that same feeling in my throught. Maybe a day later, sinus problems - sneezing, stuffiness, pressure between my eyes. Anyone know any reasons for this happening? Thanks guys and gals!

as far as everything i've read that doesn't seem to be any kind of side-effect from hydro, but I'm not an expert.

any mold or mustiness in your home or work?
Not casting aspersions on housekeeping...this stuff is just too invasive for that....

I occasionally get a bad cold while taking hydro for an extended period. About a month ago I had a horrible chest cols, that I thought could be from the hydro, but then my wife got it. Maybe it suppresses the immune system or something, slows down your body to fight off infection???
Anyone, anyone??

Whenever I take an opiate I get real thirsty. My understanding is that this is related to the constipation issue. Opiates (some more than others) cause your large intestine to absorb alot more fluid at a faster rate. Then your kidneys, thinking you have too much fluid in your system, work OT to 'suck it out' (a technical term, eh?) That gives me a dry mouth and huge thirst. If it's real bad I do get a little bit of a sore throat from being too dry. I just keep drinking fluids - but definitely not alcohol.
My 2cents. Hey, I just noticed: The penny really is worthless. There used to be a cents sign (like the dollar $) on typewriter keyboards. I've never seen it on a computer!

Sorry, off topic....
You can still make one though....my 2¢
Press and hold the alt key, then on the numeric keypad type 155, then release the alt button, and voila! ¢ ¢ ¢
To stay on topic, I haven't noticed that I get a sore throat from hydro.
