My new doctor prescribes me klonopin and percocet.
percocet is an Opiate.
klonopin is a benzo.
I take xanax for sleep-he Doesn't know that.(benzo)
I take one vicoden a day-he Doesn't know that.(opiate)
I take no other drugs.
Can they tell the difference in opoites and benzos from a urine test?
Please le me know.......somebody?
Thanks...........Jeff

the test is for benzos, opes, thc, and cocaine... period. not which specific ones. if i find the link where it tells you that, i will send to you. Just look up drugscreens on your search engine, and you will find info. good luck.

Hi, I think that the basic test your fine but if they give a much more expensive 2nd test then there is a gray area.
check out this line, lots of useful info courtisy of Erowid!

The percocets will show up as opiates (the drug test says morph)--but its all opiates...The klonopin would not show up on THAT test. Are you sure she only tests you for the one drug classification? Do you know anything else about the test she gives you? Is it a "panel" urine test?
Klonopin only shows on a urine drug test under "benzos" -Hope

According to Erowid - link posted above
Quote:
Oxycodone does not show up in the basic opiate test which is part of the standard pre-employment drug test. The opiate test tests primarily for morphine (which both codeine and heroin break down into). Since oxycodone does not break down into morphine, it is not detected. As with most substances, oxycodone is possible to test for, but it is quite rare for this to be done.

Oxycodone is an opoid not an opiate.

As the original poster of this thread I have a question.
It has been one week since I had to pee in a cup at the Doctor office and I HAVE NOT heard anything from them.
Is it safe to assume it was just a standard drug test searching for illegal drugs?
Or if they sent it to a lab would it take longer than a week for a detailed test?
