Dear visitors:
We added "My Contacts" to the board.
Now you can keep your inportant notes, contacts, emails, and other details at the board. Easy to reach and very private. The address book offers various categories to sort your contacts by OP's, Work, Family, Friends, and other.
The board also offers a calendar where you can post your important dates, refills, orders, expected deliveries, etc. The calendar allows you to choose if you want the events to be seen by all board users or only by you (public and private events)
You will be reminded of your important dates :-)
You can put some order in your contacts and events at our board.
MY CONTACTS --- CALENDAR
Please post your questions and comments below.
Best wishes

Call me paranoid, but I won't be using the calendar or contacts features to store my OP/IOP information. Seems like we may all need to be more discreet, given all that's happened recently.

How do we remove contacts or events? I was checking into "My Home" today and noticed that a poster who I don't interact with or trust somehow was showing up as one of my "Friends Online."
I would say that having another poster putting themselves into your personal files is quite a bit more disturbing than posting to yourself a reminder of "refill 8/5". . .although obviously if someone can access your contacts, they can probably access your calender, too.
This was really thoughtful, DB. You've come up with so many great new features and forums, but it looks like this system is being abused. It's really scary.

Ok..I know when I posted a reply today there were no *other* replies above mine...or were there?
Hey Toe!
How odd is that?? Can another member do that? Well apparently
so?I wont use it for refill data or private info,I was thinking along the line of another members birthday, going into hospital,etc..
Good to see you're still here,Toe

I do not see any problems or any security risks.
All events in the calendar can be made
1. Public. They can be seen by all members. Good for special events, to remind members of special eventss. To ask people to write their representatives to vote a certain way...
2. Private. Only you will see them. Those are for your reminders, your appointments, expected arrival dates, or anything else.
This is very private. Much more private than writing it in you paper agenda :-). Without your password nobody will be able to see them.
What seems to be the problem? Can you explain in more detail?
I do not understand what you mean by:

Looks like you added someone to your "friends list" without noticing. When you do that you will be notified when they are online. There is no way for other members to ad themselves to your list of friends.

Hmmm, odd.
"ourrx4less" is not my friend. . .I don't think I've ever interacted with them.
Can you tell me how to remove them from there?

I think my first post said it pretty clearly. I'm not trying to raise a stink. I want ourrx4less OFF my "friends list", and a few choice words. And I don't understand why this feature has no delete button.
How do I take them out of my contacts and delete them from my friends list?

Toe,
If you go to MY HOME and scroll down below the Main Configuration, you'll see a button titled "Address Book/Ignore List" Click on it, and it will take you to all the names in your address book. They all have a "remove entry" button next to their name. Click on that to remove them from that list. I just tested it and that's how to get them out out your address book/friends online areas.

Hey Toe,
If someone adds you to Their address book, their name will show up in Your home as 'friends online'.
I've seen this too, someone I'm not familiar with will show up as a friend online. I wrote it off as they probably put my name in their address book for future help or questions or so on.
I don't think anyone can get into your personal data on DB.
Yet,it was startling the First time I saw this..HAH!
Have a Good One,

Ummm...I think there is,DB.
There are members who are not in my address book(friends) that pop up in MY HOME/Friends Online, that I dont know or added.I assumed they added my DB name to Their address book.
J.
EDIT: Ummm...I could be mistaken. It's been a while, but seems like I *do* remember this happening because I remember wondering how they were on my 'Friends Online'. To be honest,if I answered a pm, I *may* have clicked the 'add to address book' in error and forgot.
Ok,don't want to confuse the situation more.. so I'll hush up.

Hrm, I would check it out, cuz the odds of every person in my address book putting me in theirs is slim to none. I have no one I did not put there myself, including DB
another edit for tonight: toe, I will add you too and you can see if I show up on your friends online. Pm me to let me know when you're on so we can test it.
editted: to test, J, I will put you in my address book and then, let me know when you'll be on and I'll get on and you can see if I show up, how's that??

Sweetz, I added you to my address book over a year ago. When you are online,it does show your name in Friends Online and it also shows 'reading a post in flat mode',etc..
Wonder if there is a way to edit the DB script to have a 'permission'link added to the Friends Online? This way,no one can stalk, harass(Heaven Forbid) another member. The current script allows anyone to add any name to their Friends without that persons knowledge or permission.
I'm going to suggest this to DB?

Well, crud, my little test won't work then. I know before I added you, you weren't on my list (no offense). I just hope toe gets it all figured out!
