Hi. I am one of those unfortunates without records, can't afford the tests, and now am out of luck with the skyrx down and jetsrx price gouging. Can someone share the consult process with me, by PM. What happens, what to expect, etc. I can't sit for long at the time reading, but so far I haven't found much info on this subject. Can anyone help?

The consult process varies from OP to OP. I know it's time consuming to search thru the posts here, but there IS a lot of info on the subject.

You WILL need records, so it's a moot point if you really can't get any. As to what records are needed, generally a recent physical, and any tests that document your condition.
Again, this will vary by OP; and what meds you are requesting.
From reading here and elsewhere, virtually everyone who has adequate records, finds the actually phone consult to be an easy process.
If you do some research, and have specific questions about a specific OP, I'm sure you will find someone here willing to share the details of their experience.
Your best bet, if you can obtain records, is to search for threads about the various OP's - then ask specific questions when you have one in mind.
Best of luck

I recommend you go to a bigger city and find a Dr. that treats inner city/poor people. I found a Dr. in the city that charged $40 for a Dr. visit. Open up the phone book and call around and get prices. At least you'll have medical records in hand and you can work on an OP from there.

www.prescriptionamerica.com is a no record, if you need that. Expensive, but not as expensive as some. They do a call back at time specified, but just redundant by asking questions you already answered on line, such as, have you taken this before, are you allergic to it and nothing new that you haven't already answered on the online questionaire. Then they will OK it and then the Pharmacy will call and ask the same questions again. Hope this helps you.

But what kind of records is $40 going to get you? A basic physical exam? Is that enough to get a script for something like hydro's?
I have never ordered from a records required OP before but I was always under the impression that when an OP says they require records you need more than that that. I always thought you needed records to prove you needed pain med's like hydo's, have some kind of history, have tests to determine what the pain is for if you don't have prior records, etc.; not just get some cheap clinic doctor to give you a quick physical.
And no disrespect intended to the many good and caring doc's that forsake a nice salary to service the poor, but what does that prove? How can that provide records that you have pain sufficient for strong pain meds?
If indeed you do need more tests, etc., well that is going to run you a lot more than $40 especially if you happen to employed and under 65 but without insurance (i.e. don't qualify for Medicare or Medicaid).
