I am going to be given a TENS unit. The office treatments seem to help my pain for a while, but I have so many trouble spots, and I hurt worse after a long night at work. They want to have me try out a TENS unit and I am all for it, but I am not 100% sure exactly what it really is or how it works. Anyone tried these, and how did they work for you?

I've got one (tens unit) sitting right here.I've used it for well over a yr.They do work,but they won't take away my pain.I feel they are just another tool in the battle against pain.You can use them too much just like anything else.Mine has 4 leads(sp)(wires) just like the ones they use in pt.You hook them up to the area thats bothering you.The trick seems to be the pattern in which you do this.After you get your machine if I can help just let me know..Good Luck....P

They rock. I could shoot myself in the head for leaving my dial-thingy (you know-the most important part) somewhere in Minnesota). One thing you should be sure of is to not apply the stickers on a super bony area--it won't work. Well, you'll see for yourself. Also it really helps if you have a house elf to apply the whole mess for you.
